Then we’re looking for you as our Interim HR Business Partner in Leiden!

What your day looks like

No two days are the same. You’ll be the sparring partner and coach for managers in Amsterdam and Leiden, and the go-to person for everything related to the employee journey. From onboarding and talent development to performance management and strategic HR initiatives, you take the lead. To be successful, the HR Business Partner must be hands-on, have a high level of cognitive flexibility and the ability to develop meaningful relationships.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Act as the local HR point of contact for management across Leiden, Eindhoven, Arnhem and Rotterdam, providing expert advice, coaching and guidance on all HR matters. Support team leads with day-to-day performance management, mentoring, and career development.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to enhance business efficiency through coaching, feedback, and the development of people-focused solutions that enable strategic goals. Question and challenge constructively to uncover the root causes of business and people issues.
  • Deliver HR initiatives and programs across the full spectrum — including workforce planning, restructuring, talent management, pay and reward, employee relations, engagement and performance management — ensuring alignment with legal requirements and company policies.
  • Provide professional legal and compliance advice on employment legislation, disciplinary matters, and organisational change, while developing and maintaining effective HR policies and practices.
  • Collaborate closely with the HR team to drive a culture of excellence and engagement. Support recruitment activities, deliver onboarding and training sessions, and contribute to the continual development of HR programs.
  • Analyse HR metrics such as sickness, turnover and leave accruals, identifying trends, defining focus areas and recommending improvement actions.

In short: you combine strategy with hands-on execution and know how to drive change.

Your profile

  • Available for an interim role of 3-months
  • Bachelor or Master degree
  • Experienced in an international and fast paced environment
  • Previous experience in a HRBP role
  • Demonstrated experience in the various HR functional areas
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • Proactive, flexible and good influencing skills
  • Experience with creating and analysing HR analytics
  • Good understanding of Microsoft office applications (Excel)
  • Fluent in English, written and verbally
  • A good knowledge of HR programs, practices and employment law
  • Experience in working with a Works Council
