Data Analytics Internship: Proactive Modeling

ASML Customer Support (CS) services a global installed base of thousands of machines in a 24x7 operation with over 10,000 employees worldwide. The D&E DUV Global Support Center (GSC) is the third line support organization for all DUV platforms, located in the Netherlands, Taiwan, and USA. Your assignment will take place within the department in the Netherlands.

Your Assignment

Within and under guidance of the GSC team, you will be conducting data analysis to detect early warning signals, which could indicate that specific machines are trending towards thresholds and therefore “nominated” for (more) pro-active investigation. You will create models using Python and Kusto query language, helping us with proactive warnings and early heads-up. This is a unique opportunity to look behind the scenes of and contribute to our global support organizations. Work with us to establish direction for future success of ASML D&E GSC and Customer Support.

• Conduct data analysis to detect early warning signals, indicating that specific machines are trending towards thresholds and may require proactive investigation.
• Create models using Python and Kusto query language to provide proactive warnings and early heads-up for the support team.
• Work under the guidance of the GSC team, contributing to the global support organization.
• Help establish direction for the future success of ASML D&E GSC and Customer Support.

Your Profile

• Bachelor/HBO or master student in Data Science, Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Seeking an apprentice internship (not a graduation/thesis internship).
• Proven experience in Python and SQL; experience with Kusto query language and Azure is preferred.
• Like to work in a technical environment, enjoy working with big data, and are self-driven.
• Flourish in a multi-cultural setting; English language proficiency is required.

This assignment is for 3 days a week during approximately 7 months, and you are able to join us by end of March 2026.

Other Requirements

• You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship.
• You need to be located in the Netherlands to perform your internship. In case you’re currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter should include the willingness to relocate.
• If you are a non-EU citizen studying in the Netherlands, your university must be willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (e.g., Nuffic agreement).
