Introduction

Join the Mechanical Layout NXE team and play a key role in ensuring the integrity and future-readiness of mechanical interfaces within EUV large frame systems. You will lead investigations into interface obsolescence by analyzing technical documentation, 2D and 3D models, and engaging with cross-functional stakeholders. Your work will directly contribute to improving the traceability, accuracy, and maintainability of interface data across the organization.

Your assignment

  • Conduct deep-dive analyses of EUV large frame interfaces to identify obsolete or at-risk components.
  • Review and interpret existing documentation, CAD models, and mechanical layouts.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, manufacturing, and configuration management to validate findings.
  • Perform on-site visits to the EUV Factory to confirm interface configurations and deviations.
  • Investigate current methods used for documenting mechanical interfaces within the ML domain.
  • Explore and evaluate the use of 3D software tools for interface documentation.
  • Select or develop a standardized method for documenting interfaces in 3D environments.
  • Mature the selected method into a scalable process applicable across departments and projects.
  • Support the integration of the new documentation process into existing PLM and configuration management systems.

Your profile

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Is pursuing a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering, System engineering, Automotive engineering or similar.
  • Has experience with 3D modeling with Siemens NX.
  • Has experience with 2D drawings for Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
  • Is collaborative and has strong stakeholder management skills.

This is an apprentice internship with a duration of five to six months, starting in February 2026.

Other requirements you need to meet

  • You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;
  • You need to be located in the Netherlands to be able to perform your internship. In case you’re currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate.
  • If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
