The Role

As a Bid Manager at iwell, you will be responsible for overseeing the creation and submission of strategic, clever, and commercially viable bid proposals for iwell's advanced battery systems. In this role, you will collaborate closely with various departments within iwell, ensuring that proposals align with the company’s vision of sustainable and efficient energy solutions. Your work will involve coordinating with regional network teams across The Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, and the UK, managing all bidding activities, and ensuring adherence to deadlines. You will play a crucial part in supporting iwell's mission to deliver smart energy storage solutions that help businesses maximize their energy efficiency and participate in the energy transition.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify tender opportunities across The Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, and the UK, making data-driven decisions on which to pursue.
• Form and coordinate a cohesive bid team, collaborating with Network Development, Partnership, and Commercial teams.
• Manage deadlines, ensuring compliance with concession requirements and internal decision processes.
• Develop standardized tender processes, sharing best practices and ensuring continuous improvement.
• Review submission documents, ensuring commercial and technical solutions align with tender specifications.
• Highlight iwell's expertise in smart energy (battery) solutions, establishing thought leadership.
• Oversee the end-to-end tender process, ensuring seamless handover of successful bids to operational teams.
• Support the Network team between bids, sharing knowledge and expertise, and manage non-real estate tenders focusing on e-mobility and transport sectors.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in tender project management, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
• Proven ability to handle multiple technical tender submissions across European countries concurrently.
• Demonstrate a progressive and reliable approach with a keen interest in renewable energy market developments.
• Fast-paced and solution-oriented, with the ability to adapt to evolving responsibilities and identify opportunities in a start-up/scale-up environment.
• Excellent communication skills, approachable, and trustworthy; fluent in English and Dutch; Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
