As an Operations Analyst at KLM, your analyses and creativity help solve operational problems—even before they arise. You’ll execute projects within the Operations Control division, as part of the Operations Consulting team, tackling challenges across the entire KLM operation. You’ll join an innovative environment where entrepreneurship and autonomy are valued. Will you help us improve operations through data?

What will you do?

Our operations can always be improved. That’s why our department lives by a clear philosophy: Operational Excellence. As an analyst, you’ll stay on top of things, working in a project-based manner. You’ll define questions with stakeholders and then use data analysis to find solutions, always keeping the interests of each department in mind. With compelling presentations and persuasive skills, you’ll bring stakeholders along with your results.

Where do you land?

Your base is the Operations Control Center at Schiphol-Oost, but you’ll work throughout the airport—from the departure hall to headquarters. Once a week, you’ll join colleagues at the ODS office at Schiphol-Oost. Our team is flexible, dynamic, and rapidly developing, giving you the chance to help shape our future. We’re part of the Operations Decision Support (ODS) division, reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO)—the person ultimately responsible for the entire KLM operation.

Your profile

Curiosity is essential for success as an analyst, as are quick thinking and abstract reasoning. You’re always seeking improvement, unafraid to take unconventional paths, and resilient in the face of challenges. You’re entrepreneurial and independent, moving seamlessly from one project to the next and quickly understanding new assignments.

Additionally, you:

  • Have a master’s degree with a quantitative background;
  • Have experience with data analysis and programming, preferably in Python;
  • Have some relevant work experience through extracurricular activities, internships, or part-time jobs;
  • Have some experience with consultancy skills such as storytelling, slide writing, and stakeholder management;
  • Are proficient in Dutch and English, both spoken and written;
  • Possess broad knowledge of aviation (a plus);
