About the team
You will be in charge of the end to end project team that manage customer programs. The team consists of around 25 specialists in airborne and industrial systems and is embedded in Thales Netherlands with 3000 employees.

IDS is a core segment within the Segment Services. As Customer Program Manager, you are a member of the IDS core team, contributing to growth.

The turnover of the IDS organization has doubled in the last 2 years.

It is expected that this strong growth will be maintained in the coming years. Especially in the current fast changing world, the necessity of new programs and expanding the network beyond our, mainly, US customers, makes it more important to have experienced Program Managers for the long term.

As Customer Program Manager you are the driving force in guiding your end to end team to execute customer programs within time, quality and budget.

Our projects deliver high tech technical products manufactured and designed in Hengelo. You and our team are based in Hengelo.

Your core activities will consist of:

• Manage our US customers and maintain customer intimacy
• Organize and manage our supply chain
• Maintain our product baselines
• Ensure long-term product sustainability
• Initiate projects to increase the product producibility maturity, MRL levels
• Data driven reporting
• Execute active Risk and Opportunity Product Management

Why you'd be a good match

• Have relevant experience in an industrial environment
• Has knowledge about electronics and/or mechanics
• Understands the sourcing challenges to subcontractors for high tech products
• You are prepared to travel (approx. 3 to 4 times a year) to the United States and other countries if needed
• Experience in the fields of Defense industry and Aerospace is an advantage
• Education, preferably a combination of Business Administration and Technology, HBO or University levels
• Understanding engineering principles
  Minimum of 3 years work experience in a similar working environmentFluent in English
