Tech Lead M365 Core - Group Enterprise Platform

As Tech Lead M365 Core, you will be joining our Collaboration & Data Analytics platform, part of Group Enterprise Platforms (within Group Tech). You will report to Robin van der Spoel, Head of Tech for the Collaboration Platform.

Your new work environment

In this role, you’ll support the delivery of core M365 services & capabilities such as Exchange, Sharepoint and OneDrive. You will work closely together with regional IT teams representing our great local brands, internal stakeholder groups within Ahold Delhaize group departments (Comms, Legal, Security, etc) and external partners & vendors. You will be given the freedom and responsibility to take ownership of your work and broaden your horizons by working together with knowledgeable colleagues from different countries who have an abundance of expertise in many areas. Key responsibilities of your role

Your role is highly diverse and encompasses various responsibilities.

1. Professional Management

• Lead technical implementation and DevOps management for applications/products.
• Design business tech solutions, subsystems, and integration interfaces.
• Act as technical conscience for the Product Architect; define technical standards.
• Guide agile teams with development and support; oversee interface tasks.
• Engage partners when necessary to meet product architecture goals.
• Metrics: Solution alignment with architecture, operational performance, and roadmap progress.

2. Development

• Support backlog estimation, sprint planning, and sprint delivery in agile teams.
• Balance Dev and Ops priorities; implement continuous product improvements.
• Coordinate performance/security testing and introduce automated testing standards.
• Oversee CI/CD deployment aligned with GEP standards and process maturity.
• Metrics: Accurate estimations, improved product performance, accelerated delivery.

3. Operational Management

• Monitor daily application performance and service continuity in collaboration with service managers.
• Lead incident resolution and post-incident improvements with DevOps teams.
• Evaluate and manage change requests technically and strategically (cost, effort, architecture).
• Identify optimization opportunities and coordinate with Product Owners.
• Metrics: Product stability, incident response quality, service satisfaction, deployment quality.

4. Communication

• Serve as architecture liaison, translating technical details into business insights.
• Communicate decisions, issues, and improvements to stakeholders.
• Highlight team-driven enhancements and cost savings proactively.
• Metrics: Stakeholder satisfaction, service quality, and business alignment.

Requirements

We think you’ll be best geared for success if you meet the following requirements:

• Relevant Bachelor or Master’s degree or equivalent level through experience
• 5–8 years of relevant professional experience
• Demonstrated experience in team and project management
• Proven expert knowledge of M365 applications and/or platform in large, complex environments
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in complex organizational settings
• Knowledge of and/or hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure components
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365, Jira/Confluence, GitHub, and hybrid (cloud/on-premises) configurations
• Capable of performing DevOps engineering tasks while acting as a working supervisor
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
• Professional working proficiency in English
