Staff –

A GDS-GTRS staff will be responsible for client service delivery. Reporting to a Manager, they will assist the senior in service delivery and operations of the team in developing and coaching team members as well as ensuring that resources are deployed effectively. A staff is expected to develop collaborative relationships with clients and colleagues.

GTRS offers the ease of managing clients (also referred to as Engagements within EY) in the following manner:

• Providing Operations management support on complex regulatory affairs across multiple jurisdiction
• Managing the end-to-end Engagement lifecycle management process and reporting standards
• Providing project management support
• Responsible for ensuring smooth delivery as per agreed SLA’s

Globally, Global Tax Reporting Services (GTRS) activities are conducted mostly in the local countries and hence requires a wide network of EY professionals to work together to deliver to the client expectations. A central team of GTRS members work with this global network of EY professionals to ensure client’s compliance and reporting obligations across the globe are met on time. The GTRS team manages the engagement together with the GTRS practices operating from local offices in Americas, EMEIA and APAC.

The opportunity

The job holder will work on several client accounts/ engagements, where they will be involved in delivering all service management aspects of multi-national engagement.

Your key responsibilities

Operational Support and Reporting:

A tax staff will:

• Learn and get trained on US tax rules as prescribed by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS)
• Validate client data and interact with US based teams to collect missing information
• Analyse client data and prepare work papers
• Determine the tax treatments applicable
• Prepare the filings using a software from EY
• Prepare various types of engagement setup and reporting tasks for various clients
• Handle a pool of clients
• Email Communications

Adequate training will be provided to acquaint the analyst with the necessary skills to start working on GTRS Filings. Analysts will continue to learn on-the-job, thereby sharpening their tax knowledge.

We are looking for candidates with the following:

• Good understanding of FATCA and CRS reporting.
• Ability to handle tight deadlines.
• Good communication skills – written and verbal,
• Attention to detail,
• Ability to multi-task,
• Ability to manage and motivate a highly skilled team.
• Proficient in Microsoft tools – Word/PowerPoint/Excel,
• Problem identification and solving skills,

What we look for

• Bachelors or master’s degree in finance/commerce
• One to two years of working with major global corporation (Big 4, Finance shared services etc.)
