Role Profile

The Pricing and Product Analyst is responsible for analyzing, recommending, and executing pricing decisions. Provides pricing analyses and makes appropriate recommendations for competitive price requests that meet the customer’s needs. The role also provides support to the Product Management team, working closely with a broad base of internal functional partners like Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Manufacturing, Quality, Product Development and Technical Service to achieve PF product and pricing strategies. The position requires strong influence and communication skills.

We are looking for someone in the EMEA region but are open to candidates from NAR and LAR.

Responsibilities

Pricing Responsibilities, supporting EMEA:

  • Establish & Manage product pricing Levels for Performance Film Division European-Middle Eastern-Asian Region customers. This Responsibility includes standard pricing assignments, changes, and expirations for all existing & new customers with respect to Performance Film division products. Responsibility includes Approving manual pricing in cases where deviation from standard pricing is desired.
  • Analyze and provide recommendations for project pricing & competitive price situations, adhering to business profitability/variable margin goals and utilizes knowledge and skills with Eastman’s SAP, and SharePoint, and Tableau databases for implementation of this responsibility.
  • Provide decision support to ‘Global Product & Pricing Management’ for mass price changes and subsequently is responsible for effectively managing changes/communication to all stakeholders.
  • Lead margin optimization sessions to meet business objectives and leverage market insights to guide decisions and determine what is right. Effectively use profitability tools on a formal basis. Evaluate product/customer volumes, margin leakage and make recommendations as appropriate.
  • Support project/commercial teams to build regional pricing & economic value estimate (EVE) models for new major products/applications.
  • Support the analysis/review/approval of commercial proposals (offering/pricing) as part of sales contract/Key Principles Document (KPD).
  • Review/approve/maintain region’s ‘Decision Rights Matrix’ for Customer Accommodations and decide roles & functions that are part of key activities involving deviations in customer pricing.

Product Responsibilities, supporting EMEA & Americas:

  • Serve as project lead for designated stage gate and New Product Development projects by working with cross functional teams to support the execution.
  • Participate in developing assigned Product Plan(s), multi-generational product plans (MGPP), product rationalization, and documenting product line strategies.
  • Leading product rationalization process, and support commercialization process for product modifications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university required.
  • 1+ years’ prior work experience in an analytical or customer-facing role; preferably in sales, marketing, product management, pricing and/or supply chain.

Desired Skills

  • Good organization skills, ability to manage several key objectives at the same time.
  • Strong computer skills and efficiency in SAP, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office, especially Excel, knowledge of Tableau a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated success working with cross-functional teams, including internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to contribute effectively as an individual and within a team.
  • Should have high energy with strong initiative and self-motivation.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively maneuver through complex situations.
  • Good written and oral presentation skills.
