Medior Analytics Translator Transaction Monitoring – Model Operations & Delivery

We are looking for a medior Analytics Translator to join our high-performing team focused on the operational delivery and governance of Rabobank’s transaction monitoring software. In this role, you will work closely with data engineers, DevOps engineers, product owners and other technical experts to ensure that model components are reliably deployed, well-documented, and compliant with internal standards. You will play a key role in bridging the gap between technical implementation and business needs, ensuring that the software runs smoothly in production and delivers high-quality, actionable alerts to stakeholders across the organization.

You and Your Job

As a medior analytics translator, you play a pivotal role in shaping and guiding the delivery and operationalization of Rabobank’s transaction monitoring model. With a clear and comprehensive understanding of the combination of systems, tools, and processes that support the deployment, operation, and governance of Rabobank’s transaction monitoring software you actively collaborate with data engineers, DevOps engineers, and data scientists to define requirements, improve processes, and ensure smooth delivery of model components to production. You do not code yourself, but you enable your colleagues by providing the necessary context, aligning on objectives, conducting analyses, and ensuring clarity in communication.

You take ownership of improving and optimizing platform-related processes to ensure scalability, reliability, and compliance across teams. Your responsibilities often extend across multiple simultaneous projects, where you collaborate with a diverse group of professionals, including engineers, data scientists, product owners, data governance experts, and other analytics translators. You drive strategic discussions, provide actionable insights, and facilitate alignment across stakeholders, ensuring project goals are met effectively and efficiently. Additionally, you actively contribute to a learning environment by participating in regular planning, alignment, and knowledge-sharing sessions with your peers, and you coach and onboard fellow analytics translators.

Practical examples

  • You proactively identify risks and inefficiencies in the release and governance processes, taking ownership to address them effectively. As the owner of our Release Sign-Off and Model Change Documentation processes, you have a comprehensive understanding of the systems, tools, and workflows that support the deployment, operation, and governance of our transaction monitoring software in production. You drive strategic discussions on bottlenecks and improvement opportunities, organize taskforces to address identified issues, and lead implementation planning. You ensure that all changes are traceable, compliant with internal standards, and well-communicated across stakeholders.

  • You take the lead on platform-wide initiatives to improve operational reliability and compliance. For example, you lead a taskforce to design and implement acceptance criteria and monitoring procedures for key operational risks. You collaborate with data engineers, DevOps engineers, and data governance experts to ensure technical and functional feasibility, while maintaining comprehensive documentation of decisions and rationale. Your broad understanding of the transaction monitoring landscape allows you to anticipate the impact of model or environmental changes and adapt governance frameworks accordingly to ensure operational continuity and compliance.

  • You manage a wide range of stakeholders and their expectations, acting as the primary liaison between the squad responsible for productionizing and supporting the transaction monitoring platform and the consumers of model output. You facilitate regular alignment sessions to address operational issues, clarify outstanding questions, and ensure smooth collaboration. For instance, when a new model feature is ready for deployment, you coordinate with developers, release managers, and alert consumers to ensure a seamless rollout. You prepare compelling decision-making proposals, lead workshops, and maintain a clear and accessible knowledge base on our documentation platform. You also support data governance initiatives in our data catalogue platform and contribute to release planning and communication, ensuring that platform activities are well-integrated into the broader transaction monitoring ecosystem.

Top responsibilities

  • Own and improve platform processes such as Release Sign-Off and Model Change Documentation, ensuring compliance, traceability, and operational excellence.

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance the reliability, scalability, and governance of the transaction monitoring software in production.

  • Act as the primary liaison between the platform squad and consumers of model output, facilitating alignment, managing expectations, and ensuring smooth collaboration.

You and your talent

  • Academic degree in a modelling related field (e.g., data science, economics, econometrics, computer science, physics, mathematics, engineering), and passionate about learning technical subjects.
  • 5-9 years of experience as an analytics translator, business analyst, data analyst, or data scientist with strong consulting skills. Understanding of statistical and/or rule-based models (machine learning is a plus), and able to assess what is functionally and technically feasible and/or desirable.
  • Strong analytical mindset with critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Proven leadership abilities, including the capacity to guide cross-functional teams, manage conflicts, manage stakeholders, and drive decision-making processes effectively.
  • Strategic thinker capable of anticipating trends and aligning team objectives to organizational goals for maximum impact.
  • Structured, precise, and skilled in prioritization.
  • Proactive, business-focused, and driven to make a difference in combating financial crime.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with multiple parallel projects, interdependencies, and a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Knowledge or passion for technical topics e.g., programming, CI/CD, and IT.
