FrieslandCampina’s Data Science Team is hiring an intern. You will prototype, fine-tune and deploy AI solutions, tackle complex data problems and learn from our machine-learning engineers and data scientists while turning raw data into business value.

• You have experience with Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Scikit-learn.
• You are eager to explore LLMs and have some familiarity with deep-learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow or Keras.
• You understand the basics of responsible-AI guardrails (bias, toxicity, hallucination metrics) and the security risks of prompt injection.
• You have relevant experience with time-series forecasting, optimisation methods, business analytics and data mining, plus the visualisations needed to tell the story.

• Your responsibilities will include ensuring that models are ready for production, including testing, scaling, refactoring and ensuring security.
• Since we are a growing team, you will have end-to-end responsibility and will not be just another cog in a large machine. Our senior data scientists and machine-learning engineers will provide guidance and support throughout the process.

Vacancy Description:

• As an intern you will be working with both our senior business executives and senior data scientists and machine-learning engineers from Corporate IT.
• An ideal candidate will have a balance of technical know-how and business savviness, plus strong motivation to work in the applied data-science domain.
• You must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with timelines and feel comfortable leading change as we continue to integrate data-science practices further.
• You will be fully part of the team and will immediately start experimenting with LLMs, creating chatbots or contributing to one or more of the data-science projects we are currently involved in.
• The length of the internship is negotiable with a minimum of 4 months.
