This is how you make impact

With your expertise in microelectronics assembly, you are the key addition to our team. You’ll help build a strong foundation for our production environment and work on cutting-edge technologies and new products. In this role, you’ll have the freedom to bring your ideas to life, grow professionally, and contribute to innovations that keep us at the forefront of microelectronics. We offer you a dynamic, high-tech workplace that delivers results and meets the needs of leading customers.

This is what we offer you

A good salary matching your knowledge and experience, complemented by an 8% vacation pay. What really sets this job apart is a challenging position within a strongly growing, innovative and project driven high-tech electronics organization. Next to that we offer you ample opportunities to further develop and grow yourself as a professional.

Furthermore, you can expect:

  • Employment contract based on a 40-hour work week that you can fill in hybrid
  • 27 vacation days supplemented by 13 ADV days
  • Flexible hours & option to work from home
  • Travel allowance and a good pension scheme
  • Bicycle Plan

This is what you bring to the team

You have a passion for technology—especially everything related to microelectronics and packaging. Staying up to date with the latest developments in your field comes naturally to you. You are engaged in both your work and the organization, and you can easily communicate across different levels within and outside the company. Based on facts, you are able to convince others of new production methods or the use of alternative materials. You are capable of transferring knowledge clearly and practically, ensuring that production staff are well informed about changes on the shop floor.

You possess strong analytical skills and can translate these into clear reports and documentation on production methods. In addition, you have good presentation skills and know how to communicate your message effectively. As a team player, you think creatively and collaborate with colleagues to achieve the best technical innovations.

Furthermore, you bring:

  • A completed academic degree, preferably in a technical field such as Applied Physics, Materials Technology, Electronics, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering;
  • 5 years of relevant work experience in a similar role within an (international) high-end production environment;
  • Experience with techniques such as adhesive bonding, wire bonding, die bonding, flip-chip, fine placement, or other bare-die packaging methods, as well as vacuum applications, cleanliness requirements, Failure Analysis, and Design of Experiments (DoE);
  • Affinity with and experience working for high-tech clients;
  • Proven experience within a multinational production environment (e.g., in the automotive, medical, or high-tech sector);
  • Preferably familiar with TS/ISO quality standards (medical, automotive, military), IPC standards, and FMEA techniques;
  • Strong communication, presentation, and reporting skills in both Dutch and English.

Your daily responsibilities include:

As a Process Technologist, you are the owner of the assembly processes within our production environment. Your focus is primarily on techniques such as wire bonding, die bonding, flip-chip, various adhesive processes, and the precision assembly of chips and components. You determine the appropriate materials, techniques, tools, and process steps, thereby forming the foundation of our production processes.

You are responsible for both the performance and quality, as well as the further development of existing processes. This requires a combination of practical process optimization and in-depth knowledge of the underlying physical-chemical principles and material properties. So it’s not just about adjusting parameters, but truly understanding the theoretical background of the processes.

Your challenge lies in introducing new processes and continuously improving and optimizing our products and operations. In addition, you look ahead to the future, where you translate technological developments into practical applications, enabling us to develop new products that perfectly meet our customers’ needs.

You work closely with technologists, engineers, and operators, with a specific focus on the processes within our COB (Chip-on-Board) department. Together, you ensure an optimal, efficient, and high-quality production process. You also serve as a subject matter expert and technical specialist in communication with external parties, such as customers and suppliers.

Your responsibilities further include:

  • Analyzing current production processes, including active observation and hands-on involvement when necessary;
  • Developing, testing, and implementing new production processes and techniques;
  • Participating in project teams, where you engage directly with customers as a technical expert;
  • Supporting the introduction of new processes, including operator training;
  • Evaluating new processes and materials;
  • Investigating deviations in production trends and proposing optimizations;
  • Contributing to the NPI (New Product Introduction) team, using your expertise in materials and bonding methods;
  • Leading technical aspects of complex NPI projects, including direct customer interaction;
  • Providing technical support to the sales team;
  • Attending conferences and symposia to stay current with the latest developments;
  • Building and maintaining a strong internal and external knowledge network.
