Manager of Project Management EMEA

Are you an experienced manager, able to increase coherence and operational excellence in a team, with a sound understanding of challenges project teams are facing? Are willing to be responsible in the core of our business? Then take on our challenge and bring (personal) growth and further professionalization to our project management team.

What will you be doing?​

Within the Warehousing domain, we have a global team responsible for project execution. Reporting to the Head of Project Management, you will manage a team of project managers, with a preferred base in the Headquarters in Veghel due to the team's size located there.

Your role will involve overseeing the successful execution of large-scale industrial automation and material handling projects, ensuring alignment between business objectives, customer expectations, and project delivery. You will implement standardized project management frameworks, drive operational excellence, and mitigate risks.

By providing strategic leadership, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with industry standards and regulations. Additionally, you will cultivate and mentor top project management talent, fostering accountability and excellence across the team. Your efforts will contribute to the overall strategic direction, operational efficiency, and innovation within the project management domain, driving business growth and enhancing organizational scalability.

Responsibilities

As a manager you are responsible for a team of project managers in our Warehousing Project Execution organization.

Your challenge is divided in the following activities:

  • People management: motivating and coaching, responsible for the professional development and resource planning of your team. Make sure the right person is on the right job.
  • Project responsibility: monitor the project management triangle quality, time, margin of projects, support and advise Project Managers, help them in optimizing customer satisfaction and project results and be the first escalation level for our customers.
  • Process responsibility: define, monitor and report KPI’s, initiate, develop, and implement processes improvements and procedures, and manage stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally. Goals is to improve our project execution and reduce failure costs together with your peers from amongst other sales, service, engineering, supply, and integration management.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: collaborate with sales teams to align project timelines with customer expectations and contractual obligations. Monitor project financials, ensuring profitability while optimizing resource utilization and cost efficiencies. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.

What do we ask from you?​

  • You have completed a technical or logistical education on bachelor or master level.
  • You are an experienced leader and able to manage a group of independent and pro-active professionals.
  • Projects and People management are in your DNA, you are energized by developing a team of professionals.
  • At least 10 years experience in similar role in a project oriented, technical, and challenging environment
  • You have relevant experience in the Warehousing business and understands the challenges of our customers.
  • International working experience is a plus.
  • You are proactive and pragmatic.
  • Have an excellent command of the English language.

This position offers a competitive salary range of € 7.000 to € 8.500 gross per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance). Through exceeding performance expectations, you even have the possibility to grow outside this scale. On top of your fixed salary you’ll receive the following secondary benefits:
