Name Screening is used for the detection of individuals and organisations that could pose a sanction, terrorism financing or money laundering risk. Being a gatekeeper to the financial system is easier said than done. It requires cutting-edge detection techniques paired with updated screening lists containing enriched data. As a DevOps Engineer for Global Name Screening team in Global Sanctions FEC Tech Area, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and maintaining the Name Screening solution. The primary tasks of your role are twofold; on the one hand, you use your technical expertise to provide tailor-made solutions to Name Screening and on the other hand, you are tenacious in challenging the external vendors and internal risk owners our teams work with.

You and your responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage Azure-based Landing Zone and CI/CD pipelines using YAML.
  • Leverage Databricks and big data tools for Data processing pipelines, analytics and operational insights.
  • Integrate and support SaaS-based Name Screening solutions with Azure-based Landing Zone.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable and high-performing solutions.
  • Automate deployments, monitoring, and incident response.
  • Ensure 24/7 reliability through rotational on-call support (including weekends and after-hours).
  • Continuously improve our systems with a focus on compliance, performance and resilience.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
  • Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement in Name Screening solution.

You and your talent

  • Proven experience (3-5 years) as a DevOps Engineer in an Azure environment.
  • Strong Python coding skills and experience with data analytics.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks, big data processing, and integration patterns.
  • Experience integrating SaaS applications into enterprise ecosystems.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD, automation tools, and monitoring platforms.
  • Expertise in Azure DevOps, including pipeline creation using YAML.
  • Familiarity with Name Screening or compliance-related systems is a strong plus.
