KPMG seeks an Azure Data Platform Engineer to build pipelines, integrate data, and develop impactful solutions for its new Data Office.

Your challenges & responsibilities:
- CI/CD Pipeline Development
- Develop and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for various data and software projects on the Azure platform.
- Develop and maintain Automated Test Scripts to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data pipelines.
- Stakeholder Requirements and Documentation
- Extract source integration requirements from stakeholder requests and prepare comprehensive documentation,
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement requirements effectively.
- Continuous Improvement
- Stay up-to-date with emerging data technologies and trends.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of data engineering practices.
- Proactive Leadership and Collaboration
- Exemplify proactive leadership within the development teams.
- Serve as a knowledge-sharing expert and role model for effective collaboration.
- Python Application Management
- Manage Python applications including design, implementation, and maintenance.
- Monitoring
- Create monitoring applications to track the performance and health of Azure resources.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance, identifying and resolving issues to maintain data integrity and pipeline efficiency.
- Database Administration
- Perform database administration tasks, such as schema evolution and optimization.
- Ensure the security and integrity of database management.
- Data Pipeline Architecture
- Demonstrate knowledge of data pipeline architecture and optimize data flow and processing.
- Automation Opportunities
- Identify automation opportunities to streamline processes and enhance productivity.
- Data Platform Expertise
- Showcase a strong understanding of data platforms and the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and implement them effectively.
- Security Management
- Design and Implement data security management process (e.g. Row/Column Level Security, Data Masking/Encryption).
This is what you bring
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years experience as an Azure Platform Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools, preferably with Azure DevOps service.
- Proficiency in data engineering best practices and ETL processes.
- Excellent Python programming skills.
- Experience with Application Development, preferably with Python.
- Experience with Azure resource monitoring and management.
- Expertise in database administration, including schema evolution and security management.
- Familiarity with data pipeline architecture and optimization.
- Ability to identify automation opportunities and implement solutions.
- Experience in API handling and integration.
- Strong grasp of data platforms and the ability to learn and implement new technologies quickly.
- Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred:
- Experience with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of machine learning and AI tools and frameworks.
- Knowledge of IaC tools like ARM/Bicep, Terraform.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Certification in Azure or related technologies.
- Familiar with PII data regulations like GDPR.

- Gross salary between € 3.700,- and € 6.065,- per month depending on your work experience, annual performance bonus, a fixed expense allowance, and a working from home allowance of €2.40 per working day.
