About this role

Become a key analytical leader in our global Marketing Science and Measurement team. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Media Data Analyst to own our media data infrastructure, provide comprehensive performance reporting, and lead crucial media effectiveness measurement initiatives, including Media Mix Modelling (MMM) and other studies. You will be instrumental in transforming raw media data into strategic insights that directly inform global media strategy, optimize investments across all channels (ATL, Digital, Performance), and drive demonstrable business growth on a global scale.

The Media Analytics Lead will be responsible for the end-to-end process of media data management, from collection and structuring to advanced analysis and reporting. This includes building data products for ongoing performance monitoring and taking primary responsibility for leading and executing media effectiveness measurement activities such as Media Mix Modelling (MMM) and brand lift studies. The objective is to provide the Global Media team and local markets with accurate data, clear reporting, and sophisticated insights to enable smart, data-driven media buying and strategy optimization.

These are some of the key ingredients to the role:

  • Media Data Management and Structuring: Oversee the collection, cleaning, validation, and structuring of media performance data from diverse sources (media agency reports, digital platforms like Google Ads, Meta, DSPs, potentially offline sources). Design and maintain robust data processes and infrastructure to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility for reporting and analysis.
  • Develop and Maintain Media Data Products: Build and maintain comprehensive and user-friendly dashboards, reports, and data visualizations (using tools like Tableau, Power BI, Google Data Studio, etc.) that provide the Global Media team and local markets with clear and actionable insights into key media metrics and KPIs across all channels (ATL, Digital, Performance) and markets.
  • Lead Media Effectiveness Measurement: Take primary ownership for the execution and delivery of key media effectiveness studies. This includes managing relationships with external vendors for econometrical exercises like Media Mix Modelling (MMM) and marketing science applications like brand lift studies, overseeing data inputs and outputs, and interpreting results.
  • Design and Execute Advanced Media Studies: Proactively design and execute various media studies beyond ongoing reporting (e.g., coordinating brand lift studies, designing/setting up incrementality tests, conducting cross-channel performance analyses) to measure the impact of media on brand health, business outcomes, and ROI.
  • Advanced Media Performance Analysis and Insight Generation: Conduct deep-dive, sophisticated analysis of complex media datasets based on regular core media KPI sets. Combine performance data with other relevant business data (e.g. traffic, GTV, TOMA) to identify trends, understand media's contribution to business results, uncover channel synergies, and identify opportunities for strategic media investment optimization. Develop custom analytical approaches to inform channel prioritization across ATL and Digital channels. Translate complex analytical findings into clear, concise, and compelling insights and actionable recommendations for the marketing leadership, and local teams.
  • Support Global Media Strategy and Planning: Provide data-driven insights and analysis to directly inform the definition and refinement of the global media strategy and planning processes.
  • Elevate Measurement Capabilities: Stay at the forefront of media measurement techniques, technologies, and industry best practices. Evaluate new approaches and tools for measuring media effectiveness and contribute to building a best-in-class media analytics function within the team.
  • Communication and Education: Clearly communicate complex data, analysis, and findings from media studies to both technical and non-technical audiences across the organization. Support the education of global and local teams on media data, reporting, and the interpretation of media effectiveness studies.

What will you bring to the table?

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Marketing Science, or a related analytical area. Master's degree in a relevant field is highly preferred.
  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in data analysis and media measurement, with a significant focus on media effectiveness studies and advanced analytics.
  • Proven experience leading or significantly contributing to Media Mix Modeling (MMM) projects, including data preparation, vendor management (if applicable), model interpretation, and translating results into business recommendations.
  • Experience designing, executing, and analyzing other media effectiveness studies (e.g., brand lift studies, incrementality testing, conversion lift tests).
  • Strong proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using tools like SQL, Python, or R.
  • Expertise in data visualization and dashboarding tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
  • Deep understanding of key media metrics, KPIs, and measurement methodologies across all media types (ATL, Digital, Performance).
  • Solid understanding of statistical concepts and their application to media measurement and experimental design.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle complex measurement challenges.
  • Ability to translate complex analytical findings into clear, concise, and actionable business recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with large, complex datasets from various marketing and business sources.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic global environment.
