The Finance Analyst provides financial and business analysis support to the Business and Finance management teams. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong financial analysis, commercial and interpersonal skills. The candidate will be a pragmatic and analytical problem-solver. The candidate provides financial and business analysis support to the Finance Department and to provide meaningful information to Management, Sales, Product Management, and other departments within the organization who rely on the information to make informed business decisions. Primary responsibilities include assisting in the annual planning process, monthly and quarterly forecasting/analysis of International regional sales while also providing advice/operational recommendations for regional business performance. This position is responsible for reporting on the P&L, including monthly consolidation and analysis.

What you will be doing

• Assess operational performance (EBITDA) in each international market on an ongoing basis and work with the Sales/Country Leaders to develop plans to improve performance.
• Support aspects of the monthly close for the International Business of Bioventus (Sales, R&D, Marketing and Regulatory) including generation of monthly and quarterly management reporting.
• Preparation of the annual budgeting and forecasting process for both Sales and OpEx. Including preparing supporting schedules, assisting in preparing the financial budgeting models, creating reports and analysis and coordinating with key personnel from various departments/sales organizations.
• Prepare monthly analysis of financial variances against budget including trend analysis and account analysis. Determine significant variances from budget/forecast and provide explanations/recommendations (risk analysis).
• Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.
• Manage assigned tasks as well as proactively take on ad hoc projects as required in support of business and strategic initiatives.
• Assist with commission calculations by rep for International Sales Teams monthly.
• Review and Analyze Distributor contracts, including pricing. Ensure international organizations are compliant with SOX requirements and look for improvements.

What you'll bring to the table

• Bachelor/Master Degree or equivalent diploma in Finance and/or Business Administration
• 3+ years of financial analysis, planning, and business support experience required. Preferably in the Healthcare industry; experience with global budgeting and reporting operations is highly recommended.
• Good systems skills. Prefer familiarity with Enterprise, Planning, and SAP.
• Advanced Excel skills required. Assume other MS software skills.
• Ability to consolidate, synthesize and report on large amounts of financial data.
• Strong financial analysis skills. Attention to detail & data accuracy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work autonomously and act in a consultative role.
• Flexible attitude.
