Your role

As a Deputy Manager you will play an important role in fostering a diverse and inclusive environment while representing the brand image and corporate values of INDITEX. Collaborating closely with the Store Manager, you'll oversee daily operations, manage product placement, and optimize the store layout to enhance profitability and create an engaging fashion experience. Your role includes organizing and developing the team to ensure effective collaboration and exceptional customer service, while also ensuring that fashion trends and customer preferences are met. You will be reporting directly to the Store Manager.

Main Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate understanding of commercial tools to be able to support the commercial and operations managers.
  • Improve store performance and support the Store Manager to reach budgets and expectations.
  • Ensure all departments across the store are in line with the company’s visual guidelines.
  • Oversee replenishment is done in a timely and effective manner across the store.
  • Participate In the planning and manage the process of the stock deliveries and sales preparation.
  • Support the Store Manager in completing the security checklist and the general services guide and to ensure that all security procedures are followed in the store.
  • Prepare monthly schedules for the store and manage holidays according to the business needs.
  • React accordingly to the recruitment needs of the store, ensuring that a fair selection process is being followed.
  • Working closely with Employee Experience Manager to ensure that inductions and training are carried out for all new starters and current employees in all the departments.
  • Resolve effectively customer queries and manage conflict.
  • Comply with the Health & Safety Policy.
  • Promote company’s sustainability project.

What you bring

  • Ability to lead by example, motivate, and develop employees.
  • Experience in managing and developing a team, including training, and performance reviews.
  • Initiative in identifying and addressing issues proactively.
  • Strong organizational skills with effective delegation and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong numerical skills for managing budgets and performance metrics.
  • Familiarity with retail management systems, POS systems, and other relevant technology.
  • Understanding of market trends, commercial dynamics, and competitor landscape.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a customer service management role.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and/or Dutch.
