Airports: Senior Manager Installations

What will you be doing?​

As Senior Manager Installations, it's your job to strategically drive installation activities for our Airports projects and the development of the Installations department. The impact is across the value chain, from sales, design, build to operate and maintain. Your key objective/focus is on continuously improve the Installations performance and thereby realizing the yearly goals and targets in line with our profitable growth strategy.

You will analyze, initiate, execute and embed improvements, which you will substantiate with facts and figures. Based on your expertise you will propose and use the right improvement techniques and have strong focus on needed attitude, behavior and organizational culture applicable for these improvements.

This role reports into the Executive Director Project Execution Jan Kerkhof and your will have a team of direct and indirect reports across the customer center. This role requires extensive collaboration with, amongst others, project management, sourcing, safety, quality, engineering, HR and sales functions.

Responsibilities

As Senior Manager Installations you are able to act at tactical and strategic level. You are experienced in leading improvement programs in a complex and international environment to change the company’s culture towards a continuous improvement one. Your responsibilities are:

Quality Assurance:

  • Implementing Standards: Establish and maintain high-quality standards for all installation projects.
  • Regular Inspections: Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with quality benchmarks.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Develop and track KPIs such as project completion time, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Continuous Improvement: Use performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.

Effective Communication:

  • Client Interaction: Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients to understand their needs and provide updates.
  • Team Coordination: Ensure effective communication within the team to streamline processes and resolve issues promptly.

Resource Management:

  • Budget Control: Manage project budgets efficiently to avoid cost overruns.
  • Equipment and Materials: Ensure the availability and proper use of necessary equipment and materials.

Leadership and Team Development:

  • Training Programs: Implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the installation team.
  • Motivation and Support: Foster a positive work environment and provide support to team members to boost morale and productivity.

Safety Compliance:

  • Safety Protocols: Develop and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Regular Audits: Conduct regular safety audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.

Customer Satisfaction:

  • Feedback Mechanisms: Implement mechanisms to gather customer feedback and address any concerns promptly.
  • Service Excellence: Strive to exceed customer expectations through high-quality service and timely project completion.

Strategic Planning:

  • Goal Setting: Set clear, achievable goals for the installation department.
  • Long-term Vision: Develop a long-term vision and strategy to drive the department's growth and success.

Further requirements:

  • Higher level education (preferably technical), fluent in English
  • You have affinity with construction of complex technical solutions
  • Experience in a leadership role and working in an international multicultural environment
  • Experience in driving safety culture in a construction environment
  • Knowledge of common Continuous Improvement methodologies
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time

About the team​

This position is based in the department of Project Execution within Customer Centre EMEA LATAM. You will be part of the management team together with Project Execution Managers, Planning management, HSEQ, PMO and commercial risk management. Together with about 2-3 groupleaders you will lead a team of construction managers and installation supervisors ranging from 40-50 colleagues.

This position offers a competitive salary range of € 7200 to € 8525 gross per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance). Through exceeding performance expectations, you even have the possibility to grow outside this scale.
