At ComplianceWise, we have developed Grub. Thanks to Grub, these organizations can quickly, easily, but also fully comply with the anti-money laundering regulations, including the obligation to investigate. In addition, they can kill two birds with one stone, because with Grub they also contribute to a better world.

We are currently helping more than 400 offices in the target group administration, accounting and tax advisors with our software. An industry with enormous growth potential because only 15% of the total market currently invests in anti-money laundering software. It is therefore ComplianceWise’s goal to become the largest player in this industry in the Netherlands and Europe within a few years.

About the position

Our goal is to win the Dutch accountancy market in the short term. In doing so, it is a requirement that we more than double our revenue in the coming years. We already have a product that fits our target group perfectly, but we will have to keep improving and innovating to maintain that fit and leading position.

Over the last 4 years Grub rapidly evolved with a focus on functionalities and client value. Last year we refactored the architecture and the infrastructure of Grub, to get more in control of the performance and scalability of the platform. Next to that we also invested in monitoring and resilient code. As a cloud engineer you will enable the team to focus on creating client value and become more efficient.

You will report to the Lead Developer and will work in a cross-functional Team pairing up and sparring with Backend and Frontend Software Engineers and a QA Engineer.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Build, maintain and improve the Grub’s IaC stack using the most suited industry best-practices
• Preparing our IaC stack for scale according to the expected growth goals
• Maintain the quality and security concerns goals of the Grub Application Stack
• Increase the speed of delivery by maintaining and extending our CI/CD pipeline
• Improve performance bottlenecks that might originate from the Infrastructure side
• Continuously improve the development team release process and help the team move in to a next level of maturity of the software development process delivery

Your profile

• Previous relevant experience – 4+ years – doing Infrastructure related tasks in a DevOps/Continuous Delivery mindset-oriented Team using AWS as the Cloud Provider
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles, Infrastructure as a Code and Observability concepts and techniques
• Experience building and maintaining of CI/CD software development pipelines
• Know-how of containerization tools – e.g. Docker – and container orchestration technologies – e.g. Kubernetes, OpenShift
• Familiarity with Infrastructure Security Concerns: e.g. HTTPS, Certification, API Gateways or similar
