Project Management Officer (PMO) - Entry Level Position

Department

Within the Strategic Product & Business Development (SP&BD) domain, a department “Strategic Project Management” (SPM) is established. Project Managers are responsible for the coordination of strategic business projects in close collaboration with many departments within Robeco. Project Managers are supported by Project Management Officers (PMO) in the execution of projects. The focus of SPM will be on larger, strategic, Robeco-wide, and more complex business projects as part of the strategy execution. These projects are initiated or requested by the ExCo. Strategic business projects most likely fall into these categories:

• Mergers & Acquisitions focusing on the implementation of acquisitions and divestments;
• Internal Organization focusing on strategic internal restructuring;
• Sourcing focusing on Business Process Outsourcing;
• Operating Model focusing on new business/operating models;
• Regulation focusing on the implementation of new or changed regulation with significant and/or cross-department impact;
• Multi-Year Architectural projects.

Position & Requirements

A suitable PMO candidate has a Master degree in Business Administration, Economics or equivalent with a maximum of 2 years working experience. You are interested to work at an asset manager. You can deliver results and achieve objectives. You are hands-on, proactive, structured, and supportive. You are a strong team player and support colleague project managers by sharing knowledge and doing peer reviews.

Primary tasks

• Support project managers in managing projects;
• Support project managers with project administration;
• Execute business analysis activities for specific topics in projects;
• Support Head of Strategic Project Management in project portfolio management activities and reporting to the ExCo;
• Management and maintenance of project management standards & templates.

Knowledge and experience

• Master degree in Business Administration, Economics or equivalent;
• Maximum 2 years working experience;
• Proficient in Microsoft tooling such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Co-Pilot;
• Behavioural skills such as pro-active, communication, organization sensitivity, ability to connect, coordination, flexibility and stakeholder management;
• Competences such as hands-on, analytical skills, structure, eye for detail and result driven;
• Interest in the asset manager industry;
• Affinity with consulting and business analysis activities;
• Interest in project management methodologies (such as PRINCE2, MSP, Agile/Scrum);
• Proficient in English (written and spoken) and preferably Dutch.

• Minimum availability of 4 days per week / 32 hours
• Hybrid working with at least 60% in the office.
