Internship: Operational Material Management

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Learn from the Operational Buying Team. Working closely together with this team, but also Procurement Engineers from the business unit and Supplier Account Managers and many suppliers of Factory Best.

You are responsible for

  • Gathering relevant information on problems, identifying gaps, and proposing corrective actions
  • Prepare for and support in the Daily Management operating rhythms of the organization and the weekly KPI report outs
  • Support on material inflow activities
  • Support on inventory monitoring activities
  • Support on material processes in the factory

You are a part of

The Operational Material Management (OMM) team of Factory Best, within Philips Health Systems. This team consists of Operational Buyers, Supplier Performance Managers and End-Of-Life Analysts.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Currently studying towards your Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain and will be enrolled as a student for the whole internship period
  • Well-developed communication and collaboration skills (team player)
  • Proactive attitude, able to work independently
  • Willingness to further develop analytical and intellectual capabilities
  • Fluent in oral and written English

Our intern remuneration package:

  • Monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €700 gross, depending on educational level and if you would need to relocate to The Netherlands. If you will perform a part-time internship you will receive the allowance pro-rata.
  • Housing compensation, in case of relocating to the vicinity of the office, €300,- net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, €255,- net for all other Philips locations. You need to provide a rental contract of the landlord, and your normal home-work travel distance needs to be more than 50 km or travel time (one way trip) needs to be more than 1.5 hours.
  • Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. €192,- net depending on the distance between your home address and the Philips location.
  • Paid holidays per internship term.
  • The opportunity to buy Philips equipment at our Philips shop
