Corporate Sustainability Manager (f/m/d)

This framework outlines our priorities and programs to achieve ambitious targets, built on three pillars: Innovating PRODUCT, Empowering PEOPLE, and Protecting PLANET. As we accelerate our efforts, by embedding sustainability in how we think and operate as a company, we are looking for a ‘Corporate Sustainability Manager’ to join the Corporate Sustainability Operations team, based in Amstelveen, Netherlands. The role’s mission is to contribute across the key strategic priorities of Sustainability.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead medium to high size complexity Sustainability projects
  • Facilitate project team reviews, manage the processes of task breakdown and estimation, update Businessmap, track progress, coordinate interaction and dependencies with other project teams
  • Foster Agile mindset and is open to embrace new ways of working
  • Work on requests in own area of expertise sharing knowledge and supporting the development of project peers
  • Work as a team member in projects and tasks across all competencies (outside own expertise) to learn and further develop into a more versatile profile

Within 6 months, you will:

  • Be fully integrated into the Corporate Sustainability team, having built strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and actively contributing to the objectives by leading key workstreams aligned with the strategic priorities

Requirements:

  • High standard of university degree (required), MBA or equivalent educational background (desirable)
  • 9+ years of work experience in the field of sustainability, preferably with expertise in environmental programs
  • Experience in Sustainability communication and upskilling is a plus
  • Proven experience with cross-functional projects and teams
  • Strong project management skills; demonstrated ability to plan, set milestones, prioritize and handle multiple tasks, make and meet commitments
  • Good standing and assertiveness, with excellent teamwork attitude and proven ability to influence, coordinate and mobilize teams around common goals
  • An ‘outcome-focused’ mindset, coupled with understanding of how agile ways of working can deliver value
  • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines, whilst maintaining high standards of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Fluency in English
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Ability to travel abroad occasionally as needed
