What you will do as a Control & Instrumentation Engineer (MCF/ Data Centres)

As Control & Instrumentation Engineer, you must prove yourself to some of the most demanding customers in the world and work pro-actively with our colleagues across the globe. Beyond the standard features of a building, our mission critical facilities (MCF) projects require specific and advanced knowledge and skills. What our clients have in common, is the need for a proactive Control & Instrumentation Engineer.

In this function you will be responsible for the design of the control and monitoring systems within multiple teams of data centre designers. During the design phase, your work will primarily consist of designing data centre control systems, from the basic design to the detailed design, including the coordination of your control system design with other disciplines. During the construction of the data centre, your work will consist of coordinating with clients, main contractors, and control contractors.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team where your work will be across borders, native and home based. In addition to participating in projects, you naturally also contribute to the optimization of our internal business processes and to safeguarding and sharing knowledge within your field. Our global Mission Critical Facilities (MCF) team provides a multidisciplinary package of consultancy services for our datacenter clients. We provide strategic, tactical, and operational advice to our clients, including colocation datacentres, internet service providers, and telecom companies. Our team consists of colleagues with all kinds of different expertise. For example, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, construction, civil, structure, building, architecture, fire safety, control engineering, and security technology. Together we use our knowledge and expertise to develop integrated designs for Data Centres.

You will join a leading market and work with a dedicated and passionate team ranked as one of the best Data Centre design & engineering teams globally.

What you bring

You are an entrepreneurial, result oriented, proactive individual with a positive flexible and problem-solving attitude. You are a team player and have good coordination skills. You are willing to work on international projects and flexible to travel. Besides that, you have:

• BSc/ BEng/ BTech Electrical/ Electronics/ Control & Instrumentation degree;
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in consulting engineering;
• Experience in data centre projects is highly advantageous;
• Understanding the overall MEP design processes in Mission Critical environment;
• Experience with network diagrams, telecoms design, Revit and/ or Revizto.
