The EMEA Regional team aims to bring scalability, innovation, connectivity, and efficiencies to the EMEA region. The team comprises 5 different disciplines from Production, Operations, Planning to Studio Relations and Media. With the formation of the team in the last 2 years, it is time to build a true Production org where the leader will oversee all aspects of production for our campaigns, brand, and global initiatives: pre-production, production, and post-production.

Overview

The EMEA Regional team is seeking a Production Director to lead regional production solutions across Brand Partnerships, Live, Ads, Brand, and title campaigns. This role is critical for providing trusted campaign production support, establishing innovative workflows, and adapting to evolving business needs. The Director will enable scalable deployment of technology solutions and foster cross-functional collaboration to achieve key objectives.

The EMEA Production organization evaluates emerging technologies, implements new workflows and tools for promotional assets, and supports internal and external teams to deliver EMEA marketing assets. This team collaborates closely with content production, marketing, regional leadership, and global stakeholders to support the Netflix ‘pitch-to-play’ ecosystem. Collaboration and continuous improvement are essential to ensure initiatives align with business goals and strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fostering Netflix Culture: Cultivate a strong shared purpose within the production team, and actively promote this positive culture across internal and external partners.

  • Diverse Stakeholder Engagement: Effectively engage with a wide range of stakeholders across different functions and regions, gathering input, understanding perspectives, and clearly communicating priorities and progress.

  • Aligning Operations and Technology with Strategy: Ensure that production operations and technology initiatives are closely aligned with and support the overall business strategy.

  • Collaboration with Product Teams: Work closely with product teams (PDP and Globalization) to develop shared goals, key results, and implementation plans.

  • Program and Project Selection: Make informed and consistent decisions about which programs and projects to pursue, considering the overall portfolio of work and strategic priorities.

  • Global Partnership Optimization: Optimize partnerships with other global teams to support their work across regions and prioritize the allocation of shared resources.

  • Shaping EMEA Production Strategy: Contribute to and support the development of the overall EMEA Production strategy, providing a framework for informed business decisions and regional prioritization.

  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Lead strategic planning and execution for a diverse portfolio of projects in production operations, working closely with senior leadership and title management teams to identify opportunities for improvement and optimize resources.

  • Bridging Local and Regional Needs: Identify, prioritize, and communicate local and regional needs, ensuring alignment with global initiatives and supporting the successful rollout of new operational processes and tools.

  • Knowledge Sharing and Expertise: Work closely with global and local teams to share knowledge and expertise on local opportunities (e.g., vendor and talent landscape) and support effective data gathering and curation (e.g., industry/market trends, production metrics).

  • External Partnership Building: Support the development of relationships with pan-regional external partners and vendors.

  • Post Production: Knowledge in post-production with experience in leading teams for finishing and delivery.

  • Social Editorial & Localization: Familiarity with social editorial and localization processes to facilitate the scalability of the title work.

  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage producers while juggling varying campaign volumes and timelines.

  • Vendor Ecosystem: Establish a network of vendors to meet the diverse business requirements across the region.

Candidate Profile

  • 15+ years of experience in content production or production management.

  • Proven experience leading large, diverse teams across multiple locations and cultures, demonstrating exceptional empathy and people management skills.

  • Deep understanding of creative campaigns lifecycle, from initial concept through to launch.

  • Ability to interact effectively with senior business leaders, showcasing excellent communication skills and executive presence.

  • Exceptional creative problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to rapidly assess new information and propose optimal business solutions.

  • Openness to feedback and actively seeks out diverse perspectives from stakeholders.

  • Comfortable working in ambiguous situations, independently setting goals and desired outcomes that align with broader business strategy.

  • Thrives in fast-paced, high-pressure environments and possesses intellectual curiosity and sound judgment in uncertain situations.

  • Keeps abreast of emerging technologies (including AI) and production trends.

  • Demonstrates curiosity and a passion for innovation in production.
