Why you should join the Adyen Provisioning Team

This team is part of our Platform Engineering Solution in Amsterdam. The purpose of Platform Engineering is to enable Adyen engineers to autonomously build and support secure, scalable and reliable applications with high speed and quality through a common technology ecosystem.

As the team lead for our Provisioning team in Amsterdam, you will build, mentor, coach, and be part of a diverse, talented team which delivers foundational infrastructure services for our core platform, fully focused on bare-metal provisioning.

You are comfortable streamlining the team's engineering operations, refining product requirements, and contributing to the operational output of the team in a hands-on manner.

What You’ll Do:

  • Drive the technical direction of the team
  • Design, implement, and optimize large-scale automated OS deployments on bare metal
  • Provide support for a diverse server hardware fleet within Adyen
  • Maintain sources of truth, performance and health metrics, and the full server lifecycle
  • Work cross-functionally with product and other infrastructure teams within the Platform Engineering solution in Adyen
  • Set clear individual and team goals that align with our strategic engineering ambitions in close collaboration with the product manager
  • Take responsibility for the operation and improvement of the provisioning infrastructure at Adyen

Who You Are:

  • 8+ years of experience with bare-metal Linux provisioning
  • Proven experience in coaching, leading, and mentoring engineering talent
  • You have the ability to lead technical projects in a fast-paced environment
  • You have experience setting up and maintaining bare-metal provisioning systems (e.g. Foreman, Ironic, MaaS)
  • You are a team player who enjoys working with a global team across different offices, roles, and cultures;
  • You have the ability to write and maintain scripts written in Golang or Python
