Our Albert Heijn Technology Supply Chain platform aims to create the best supply chain architecture and infrastructure, significantly impacting our processes and enhancing the shopping experience for millions of customers who visit our stores daily. Within this platform, multiple products drive success, each managed by a product team categorized under Replenishment, Logistics, or Transport.

You will join a team that is dedicated to empowering Albert Heijn's Supply Chain business units with robust data solutions for reporting and analytics. The team focuses on creating data marts, providing insightful data, and liberating data for enhanced decision-making.

Exciting products you'll work on include:

  • KPI Services: Delivering crucial insights into Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for supply chain stakeholders, enabling efficient management of the supply chain.
  • Data Exploration Frontend: Offering a gateway for data consumers to query, analyze, and explore data, as well as view metadata from the data lake.
  • Data Mart Tooling: Provided as a service by our data platform team, this tool facilitates the creation of data marts from the data lake.

The recipe for maximum impact

  • Bachelor or University degree in Computer Science, IT or a comparable subject
  • 5+ years of work experience as a data engineer
  • 8+ years of work experience in software development
  • Experience with Python and/or PySpark, CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps & GitHub Actions) and SQL
  • Hands-on cloud experience, preferably in Azure stack (Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, etc)
  • Ability to apply both technical and business knowledge while participating in the full lifecycle development process
  • Ability to interpret business requirements and logically think through to developing technical solutions.
  • Excellent analytical, communication (both verbal and written), facilitation/organizational skills
  • 24/7 responsible for the application development & Ops including standby schedule (around every 8 weeks).
