The Albert Heijn Key Account Manager Foods is responsible for the sustainable and competitive growth of all our foods brands at Albert Heijn. You will have an important stake in the overall foods strategy as well as the responsibility of your own categories / Albert Heijn tables.

You will report to the General Manager Foods Netherlands and work closely together with the sales director and the other customers KAMs. Furthermore, you will lead a team of an Account Manager, 2 junior account managers, and an intern.

You will be accountable to generate USG, UPG, and UL market share growth in a sustainable way. It is crucial to develop a strategy for the above-designated brands in the Nutrition cluster in conjunction with the Marketing Managers and Customer Strategic Planners (CSP). On an annual basis: contracts need to be negotiated and agreed with Albert Heijn teams and channels.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE?

  • End to end lead for annual contracts with Albert Heijn category teams and banners.
  • Develop the customer strategic business plan for his/her respective categories. Work out a joint customer business plan for his/her respective categories.
  • Work in close collaboration with the Category Managers for the category input, and with marketing for the table/channel plan.
  • Develop optimal integrated promo plan (incl. selling the plan at the customer) and manage promo investments.
  • Manage the customer P&L for his/her respective categories.
  • Deliver the agreed plan, follow-up achievement of counterparts set in the agreement.
  • Close the deal with the Customer by negotiating the trade terms, trade funding, and counterparts according to the UL strategy on his/her categories.
  • Develop a nego strategy with your fellow colleagues in Europe and negotiate the Foods price increase with the Eurelec buying alliance.
  • Manage overall levels of Customer Investments for his/her category.
  • Monitor Customer Performance by tracking customer contribution and market share for major categories.
  • Act as active ambassador of Unilever at the customer and of the customer at Unilever.
  • Participate actively in the account managers meetings, looking at the best solution for the business even if not in line for his/her customer.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum relevant professional experience of 10 years is required.
  • Relevant experience in Senior Account Management preferably with Albert Heijn.
  • Fluency in Dutch is a must - dealing with Dutch clients and stakeholders.
  • Master’s/HBO degree preferred.
  • Ideally experience in the Foods category in the FMCG industry.
  • A person that easily connects, loves to embark on consulting assignments, and has high energy levels.

  • End to end business analyses.
  • Profit and Loss Management.
  • Commercial negotiations.
  • Project Management / strong analytical skills and well-structured
