Job Purpose

The Finance Data Model Analyst will support the Finance Data Model Lead in designing, governing, and implementing a structured financial data model for our ERP transformation. This role ensures data integrity, consistency, and efficiency across financial reporting, accounting, and compliance processes.

This position is essential to the seamless integration of financial data within the ERP system and will exist for the project implementation duration, expected to be 2.5–3 years.

Key Responsibilities

  • Finance Data Model Development & Implementation:

    • Assist in defining and implementing financial data models supporting global reporting and compliance.
    • Ensure alignment with IFRS, local GAAP, and regulatory requirements.
    • Support the establishment of data hierarchies, naming conventions, and governance structures.
    • Work closely with the R2R, MR, FP&A, and Tax teams to ensure financial data structures enhance reporting efficiency.
  • ERP Transformation & Data Structuring:

    • Collaborate with IT and finance teams to configure financial data structures within the ERP system.
    • Support the design and implementation of Chart of Accounts, cost centers, and other financial dimensions.
    • Identify automation opportunities to improve data reconciliation and reporting efficiency.
  • Data Governance & Compliance:

    • Maintain finance master data quality, consistency, and security.
    • Assist in implementing data governance policies and validation controls.
    • Work closely with audit and compliance teams to meet financial reporting and regulatory requirements.
  • Data Migration & Archiving:

    • Support the execution of a robust data migration strategy, ensuring seamless transition from legacy systems.
    • Assist in data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes, ensuring integrity and completeness.
    • Establish validation and reconciliation procedures to minimize errors and ensure post-migration accuracy.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Support:

    • Act as a key contact between finance, IT, and business teams for financial data modelling needs.
    • Provide training and support to finance teams on best practices in data governance and ERP usage.
    • Support change management efforts to promote a data-driven culture within finance.
  • Testing & Continuous Improvement:

    • Participate in testing and validation of financial data models within the ERP system.
    • Conduct data reconciliation and integrity checks to ensure reliable reporting.
    • Identify gaps and propose enhancements for optimization.

What You Need to Succeed

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in finance data management, financial reporting, or ERP transformation.
  • Exposure to ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday, or similar) and financial data modelling.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools and data visualization (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.

Technical & Analytical Skills:

  • Strong financial data analysis and structuring capabilities.
  • Familiarity with automation tools and digital finance solutions.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment while maintaining high accuracy standards.
