As a Sales Director, you will own your sales quota and drive revenue growth within your region. You’ll take full responsibility for meeting or exceeding your targets, developing and executing strategies to identify and qualify new business opportunities.

You’ll get to lead the entire sales cycle, collaborating with demand generation specialists and pre-sales experts to create RFPs, pitches, and proof of concepts. Your primary focus will be on closing complex, high-value deals worth over 1 million, while managing product and service negotiations to ensure success.

What you'll do

In this role, you will manage a large, complex territory, leveraging your expertise in the FinTech space to drive business growth and build strategic client relationships. You will work closely with internal teams and partners to align on opportunities and ensure sales targets are met. Your ability to engage with executives, negotiate terms, and create compelling proposals will be essential to closing high-value deals and fostering long-term client partnerships.

  • Proven track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining executive relationships with both partners and customers
  • Strong understanding of business, financials, and Backbase products and services
  • In-depth knowledge of the FinTech market and the evolving needs of clients
  • Deep expertise in the business, financials, products/services, and the unique needs of assigned accounts
  • Experience managing large, complex sales territories, including multi-country regions, and navigating intricate sales and account management processes
  • Ability to develop and nurture active partner relationships that lead to new software business in your region
  • Regularly involved in direct customer engagement to acquire new business and grow existing accounts, including participating in sales presentations, developing bids, and responding to proposals
  • Skilled in facilitating alignment between partner and internal sales teams, ensuring effective account targeting and joint opportunity planning
  • Proven ability to mentor junior team members, such as Business Development Managers (BDMs), while serving as an expert and leader in your area

Who you are

We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Sales Director who excels in selling complex solutions and has a strong network within the banking sector across North Africa. You thrive on building relationships, understanding clients' needs, and delivering tailored solutions. With a strategic mindset and a proven ability to navigate complex sales cycles, you are driven by results and have a passion for driving business growth.

  • 8+ years of experience in hunter-sales with a proven track record in solution selling
  • Strong network within the banking sector in North Africa, with the ability to open doors and drive business
  • Skilled in managing large, multi-country territories and navigating complex sales cycles
  • Fluent in English and local languages, both written and spoken
  • Preferably holds a Master's degree in a business-related or IT field
