Proposal Manager

We are looking for a Proposal Manager with a can-do mindset!

As a Proposal Manager, you play a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the sales process by working alongside the Account Managers from the early sales phases through to bidding and closing. This role involves defining, packaging, and documenting Royal IHC solutions for clear and compelling, and structured client communication. Additionally, you act as a bridge between technology and sales, ensuring that proposals, pricing, and sales materials align with customer needs while leveraging the latest technology for efficiency. You have a strong technical background, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage complex bids with a strategic focus on business growth.

As a Proposal Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Solution Definition & Packaging: Define, structure, and document Royal IHC Solutions to ensure clarity and consistency across sales activities.
  • Bid Management: Oversee complex bids, coordinating input from various teams to ensure timely, high-quality submissions that align with customer expectations and company objectives.
  • Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, legal and sales, to ensure alignment of solutions with market demands and customer needs.
  • Pricing: Leverage standardized templates for technical and commercial proposals, to ensure consistency and accuracy in pricing structures and value propositions.
  • Win Strategy and Negotiation: Support sales in defining and executing the win strategy for the bids and in preparing and executing the negotiation with the customer – to achieve a deal that is beneficial for both the customer and Royal IHC.

To be eligible for the position of Proposal Manager, you must have the following:

  • Bachelor or master degree in: Mechanical Engineering or Business Technology.
  • Work experience within the maritime or Offshore industry.
  • A minimum of 3 years of commercial work experience in sales and/or proposal management.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Strong analytical skills with an eye for details.
  • Energetic and ‘can-do’ mentality: you think in possibilities.
  • Excellent communication skills in English language (and preferably but not necessarily in Dutch).

Please note that only candidates with valid EU work visa will be considered as viable candidates.

These requirements give a direction to the profile we are looking. At Royal IHC, we warmly welcome anyone to join us, regardless of their background, disabilities or challenges. For example: research shows that male candidates apply if there is a 60% match and women only when there is a 100% match. Do you not meet all the requirements but do you think that this is the position for you? Then we would like to invite you to apply.

Our offer

  • A gross monthly salary between €5.700 and €8.110,- plus 8% holiday allowance (based on a fulltime working week).
  • Good work/life balance with 40 vacation days for full-time employment with the option to buy or sell (additional) leave.
  • € 0,21 per kilometer commuting allowance.
  • A profit-sharing scheme.
  • The possibility to work from home with associated expense allowance and/or to perform the work on the basis of flexible working hours.
  • An average salary pension scheme in which matters are properly arranged in the event of accidental death, incapacity for work or unemployment.
  • Good disability insurance.
  • Participation (on a voluntary basis) in the Social Fund, on the basis of which care and related costs are reimbursed that are not covered by your health insurance.
