Nedap Retail is growing fast and we are deploying our iD Cloud platform to change the way retail works. Our international customer portfolio continues to grow year in year out. Using our state-of-the-art technology allows retailers and brands to create perfect inventory visibility as well as an exceptional shopping experience. Besides that, there is a growing need to further deploy RFID technology and leverage the potential it has to drive sustainability improvements and to contribute to (future) regulatory requirements for the retail industry. The speed at which the retail market is evolving creates a necessity for a strong connection between retailers and their technology partners. Our customers do not just buy a product or a service but invest in our platform, become a vital part of our user community and by doing that, become an active partner in our collective journey.

The customer journey is leading in our way of working. It allows us to successfully onboard new clients, clearly mark the transition from one phase to the next (sales, implementation, adoption, expansion) and to ensure optimal value realization from the investment in our platform.

Your responsibilities

As a Key Account Manager for iD Cloud you are responsible for facilitating the customer journey of your assigned accounts in the EMEA fashion retail industry. You are in contact with the decision makers for these companies on a day-to-day basis. Your objective is clear: You ensure maximum customer lifetime value and a fundamental connection between Nedap and our customers that results in upsell, cross sell and renewal of existing contracts. You are the strategic commercial contact with a primary focus on the following tasks:

  • Act as a strategic liaison contact to our clients. Together with our clients you determine next steps in their RFID technology journey
  • You facilitate the process of seamless onboarding of new customers.
  • You oversee the transition between phases (sales, implementation, adoption, expansion)
  • When spotting additional relevant use cases for the technology, it’s your job to develop and drive the cross-sell opportunity to success. In this process you bring in relevant specialists as needed.
  • You create and foster strong connections with decision makers/ C-level.

Your team

You will be part of one of the platforms’ specialized commercial teams (account management) which is led by a team captain. To make sure you quickly feel at home within the team and wider organization we work with a buddy system and you will follow a comprehensive onboarding program. Together with your buddy and team, you will make sure success is defined and achieved while making sure that both personal and professional development are an integral part of your career within Nedap.

You are part of the Customer Engagement organization consisting of highly motivated Implementation Managers, Customer Success Managers and Key Account Managers, who love to work with leading international retailers and brands. Highlights include our Customer Engagement meet-ups where colleagues from different countries come together to strategize, educate, and share best practices and experiences, our community events where we bring our customers together to learn from each other and exchange ideas on the future of retail, technology and RFID and the yearly NRF in New York, which will leave a lasting impression.

Required experience and skills

For this role, we are looking for an account management professional with a passion for fashion and technology. Someone driven by long-term customer relationships and recurring impact. You take initiative, think strategically, and recognize opportunities for growth. At the same time, you understand that true success is a shared effort; you thrive in a team environment where collaboration leads to the greatest impact.

  • 4+ years of B2B account management experience in software (SAAS is a strong plus)
  • Fluency in business English is required, (Spanish, Italian, German, and/or French as a second language is a strong plus)
  • A background in fashion/retail is a plus
