Manager, Business Management

Your mission:

This exciting opportunity within our Video Projection team supports the Head of Sales for BLX & Nordics, providing business intelligence, ensuring coordination between central and local teams, and driving sales growth through customer engagement.

You will actively execute the Business Manager role in BLX and take initiative in managing a small team which include roles in Business Management, Product Management, Tender Support, and Technical Sales Support, depending on business needs and location. With strong analytical skills, you will proactively support sales tenders and drive overall team performance.

What will you do:

  • Sales Support: Provide business intelligence and assistance to the local Sales Leader(s) to create a favourable commercial environment for achieving sales targets
  • Market Strategy: Collaborate with Sales Management and Marketing Services to develop and execute a ‘Go-to-Market’ plan for assigned channels, based on your understanding of the market, competition, and channel dynamics
  • Performance Reporting: Use data from the Commercial Team (Finance) and feedback from Sales to develop regular sales performance reports and provide insights during business review meetings (e.g., MBR) and reports (e.g., R3)
  • Pricing Evaluation: Assess requests for special pricing, ensuring the data is complete and the request is reasonable, and approve or decline as appropriate
  • Tender Support: Analyse tender requirements, identify key deliverables, and develop a detailed response plan. Lead the preparation, coordination, and submission of tenders, proposals, and pre-qualification questionnaires
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor sales performance against targets, contribute to discussions and create proposals on how to close any performance gaps. Support the implementation of agreed-upon actions
  • Commercial Policy Support: Assist Sales Managers in the development of local commercial conditions aligned with the European Commercial Policy and contribute to the annual review of this policy
  • Sales Tools Improvement: Review the effectiveness of Sales Automation Tools (e.g., CRM1, CRM2) and suggest improvements where necessary
  • Sales Forecasting: Track the sales pipeline and contribute to the sales forecast process, ensuring accurate predictions
  • Business Planning: Support Sales Managers in creating the annual Business Plan (BP) and participate in quarterly BP reviews
  • Regional Representation: Actively engage with the European Business Unit to ensure regional concerns are communicated and understood at the European level (e.g., market, competition, channel needs)
  • Issue Escalation: Ensure key regional issues are escalated to the European Business Unit early and follow up to ensure appropriate actions are taken
  • Target Setting: Assist Sales Leaders in setting targets for salesperson commissions and channel accounts
  • Team Management: Lead, motivate, and develop the team to achieve maximum performance.

What we ask for:

  • Ideally background in Business Management in a related industry
  • Ideally experienced in working with regional teams and managing or influencing remote results
  • Strong ability to evaluate and integrate information from multiple sources
  • Excellent communication skills at a management level
  • Technology-oriented and comfortable with digital tools
  • Experience in managing a team to drive sales performance
  • Preferable Graduate-level education
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in additional European languages is a plus
  • Regional travel may be required for customer visits, presentations, and events.
