What you'll do

In this role, you will take on both technical and leadership responsibilities. You will:

• Lead the design, development, and execution of end-to-end data engineering projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives.
• Design and implement data infrastructure to support digital marketing, eCommerce, and business intelligence solutions.
• Collaborate with clients, translating business needs into technical data solutions that provide measurable impact.
• Provide strategic guidance on data governance, ensuring compliance and best practices throughout the data lifecycle.
• Manage key client relationships, regularly interacting with stakeholders at the executive level to identify new business opportunities and ensure project success.
• Oversee and ensure quality control, troubleshooting, and optimization of team members' work.
• Drive the growth of Metyis’ data engineering practice by developing new client offerings, advising on business development strategies, and contributing to thought leadership.
• Lead, develop, and inspire a team of data engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
• Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions, fostering collaboration across teams and disciplines.

What you’ll bring

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• A BSc or MSc in Computer Science, IT, or related fields (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering, with at least 4+ years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in stakeholder management, with the ability to engage C-suite executives and communicate technical solutions effectively to non-technical audiences.
• A strong business acumen, with experience in business development and managing client relationships to expand business opportunities.
• Demonstrated success in leading teams, delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Advanced knowledge of data solutions based in Azure and Azure native solutions
• Advocate for best software development and data engineering practices in the team
• Knowledge and practical experience with one of data governance frameworks
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
