Your job

You will be part of an international network of experts, obsessed with brand consistency, and safeguarding it across all Decathlon channels and assets. Your main focus will be managing our identity in the Netherlands, guaranteeing our local relevance on any type of content and store experience. You can expect innovation and sustainability to play a major role in your actions.

With the launch of the new Decathlon brand id platform, you will lead the team of designers, art director and project manager in adopting, adapting, creating, and guaranteeing the local implementation and consistency - on brand, time and within budget. Within the Netherlands Marketing team, you will work in close collaboration with central teams, local business teams as well as external parties to define the best 360 and integrated plans, and implement them. Your objective is to support creatively the development of our Brand presence and make the most of its voice and positioning. Thanks to you the creative team will be autonomous and develop their skills in a mindful and stimulating environment.

Responsibilities

  • You take care of the personal and professional development of your team; Creation & Design; You organize the team’s work and prioritize projects
  • You translate the brand strategy into our local creative strategy, the end goal: a clear, recognizable, engaging and consistent visual identity across all channels
  • You will align with our retail concept leader and our international Retail-lab to ensure an outstanding implementation of the continuously evolving retail concepts
  • You make the creative translation of all marketing campaigns, validated in the marketing annual planning
  • You support other departments and business units, such as internal communications and recruitment in deploying the best creative content for their needs.

What we expect from you

  • You have a passion for sport!
  • You have more than 5 years of experience in a similar role with human management experience
  • You are passionate about branding, 360 communication and you think that putting your skills and expertise at the service of the brand will allow it to change its image among its customers in order to be perceived as a global sports brand and multi-specialist.
  • Your curiosity, your open-mindedness and your team spirit naturally push you to observe brands and to draw on customer knowledge in order to generate attractiveness for the brand and emotion among customers.
  • Moreover, the Adobe suite and Google software have no secrets for you and AI software (e.g. Midjourney, NewArc.AI, etc.) are not foreign to you, which will allow you to control your creation up to the in the smallest details, both aesthetic and technical.
  • Your empathy and sense of service lead you to view your work globally and imagine its impact on all the brand's points of contact. Your creativity is therefore stimulated by the link to be guaranteed between local issues and a global playing field.
  • You know how to unite your project team around your creative convictions and are reassured by your sense of organisation and your ability to concretely transform your ideas into strategy and creation tools.
  • Your Creative talents and the confidence they generate will make you a natural leader
  • You are proficient in Dutch and English, French is a plus.
