Role and responsibilities

As Senior Manager Logistics Operations & Planning, you will run a key part of our Manufacturing Hub, ensuring materials are in place to keep ASML’s production on track. You will lead a dynamic team of ~80 professionals, including logistics planners, engineers, and analysts, and act as a key delegate for the Head of Logistics Operations.

Together with your staff, teams and direct colleagues, your goal is to run, improve and change the operation in our Manufacturing Hub. The position consists of both operational and engineering responsibility. On the one hand, you work in a demanding and challenging environment wherein you are end responsible for having the right inventory on stock to meet factory demand, load levelled planning in our manufacturing hub, on time delivery towards the factory, quick disturbance follow up. On the other hand, you ensure continuous improvement and change via breakthrough projects in our operation.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Lead a department of ~80 highly motivated colleagues in different teams (i.e. engineering teams, planning teams, disturbance management) – facilitate their success and growth while focusing on well-being
  • Drive Logistics Operation’s performance either via capabilities in the Control Tower, Planning and Engineering department or LO’s operational departments
  • Maintain a culture of continuous improvement with structural follow up identified issues
  • Manage a challenging stakeholder network ranging from ASML factories towards Supply Chain departments
  • Drive the Logistics Operations roadmap
  • Manage high-level of escalations across logistics processes
  • Innovate using new technologies such as simulations

Education and experience

  • >8 years of experience within Logistics or Supply Chain Management
  • Master degree (e.g. Operations Management & Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management)
  • Experience in a technical production/ warehouse environment
  • Experience in leading leaders
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills Lean management experience (e.g. DPMs, 4Cs)
  • Project management experience (e.g. A3s)

Other information

The Logistics Operations department is responsible for all storage, planning and shipment of ASML material, e.g. systems, upgrade packages etc. As part of the Logistics Operations team, this role is positioned within the Control Tower. The Control Tower is the responsible team for all administrative flows, preventing and predicting stagnations.
