We work in English as the common language and we have a very flat hierarchy. We are currently growing so we are looking for a Financial Controller.

Mission Of This Role:

The mission of this role is to drive financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. One of the biggest projects you will be working on is making sure Rentman is ready for the financial audit. You will dive into our financial processes, analyze this and you are able to eliminate the bottlenecks by setting up more efficient and better processes.

You will work closely with our Finance Director on building a state of the art finance function and could work on complex financial topics such as acquisitions and investor relations if they arise. You will get a lot of freedom to make suggestions and take the lead. Because of this you will experience a steep learning curve while making a great impact.

What You’ll Do:

• Owning the month close and audit process
• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the financial organization
• Financial consolidation of the different (international) entities
• Ensuring accurate and complete monthly P&L and Balance sheet
• Overseeing tax and regulatory / compliance in cooperation with 3rd parties
• Managing of the balance sheet, explanation of cash movements and short term cash forecasts
• Contribute to strategic finance topics in financing and acquisitions

What We’re Looking For:

• Degree in accounting or related field combined with a post degree certification such as ACCA (or in the process of obtaining)
• Minimum of 2 years working experience for an accounting/auditing practice
• Proficiency with bookkeeping in different ERP systems (Exact online/Xero are a plus)
• Experience with financial audits, either as a lead or in a supportive role
• Understanding of accounting standards and regulations (or the ability to find out) Current reporting on Dutch GAAP
• Fluent in English in both writing and speaking
