Senior Specialist, Sourcing

Job Description:

General:

• Responsible for the regional supplier sourcing for complete products in compliance with corporate policy and guidelines.
• Provide suggestions on product design from a cost perspective and work with internal parties such as product development engineers (PDE) and engineers to ensure vendor quotations match product specifications and product costs as manufacturers quoted are reasonable.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Liaise with vendors and suppliers on product costs.
• Work with internal and external parties as a team to achieve identified target costs for new products.
• Prepare the internal product quotation based on the preliminary function description and sketches for new and existing development projects.
• Support the materials, components and new suppliers sourcing for new projects as required.
• Support the special assignments as requested by the department manager.
• Setting up and maintaining Spin Master's Costing data base and Material Master Component lists.

Required Qualifications Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering/procurement/supply chain or equivalent.
• 5 years solid costing experience in toys manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience in SAP is preferred.
• Familiarize with supplier sourcing.
• Strong analytical skills, self-motivation initiative, able to work independently.
• Perform effective communication skills with all employees, suppliers, and management levels.
• Good command of spoken written English Chinese.
• Displays effective communication skills with all levels of employees, suppliers, and management.
• Project management experience is an advantage.

The primary responsibilities of the position are set out as above. Employee is expected to fulfil all the responsibilities of the position and any other responsibilities that may be reasonably requested by Spin Master from time to time. Primary responsibilities and the title of the position may be varied by Spin Master during the employment and regardless of any such variation whether by agreement with employee.
