About the Role

As our Data Governance Manager, you will lead a team responsible for ensuring solid data governance across our global data platform, used by the whole company.

Working with data engineering and business-focused data product teams, you and the team together define the roadmap and drive its implementation. You will lead the way in auditing and monitoring data governance activities and controls, as well as ensuring that we implement compliant and effective security measures on the data platform.

You will have management responsibility for a small but diverse team of specialists working across data governance, enterprise risk, compliance, and regulatory alignment.

These are some of the key ingredients to the role:

• Own the evolution & adoption of Data & AI Governance frameworks supporting data access, data protection, data quality and data mesh principles
• Own and continually improve the Risk & Control Matrix establishing IT controls for data platform & product teams.
• Ensure Compliance related to ISAE 3402 and similar General IT Controls
• Liaise with internal & external Audit teams to provide evidence and explanations that internal controls are executed and effective.
• Manage and drive compliance with relevant legal & regulatory requirements regulations (e.g.: GDPR, DSA, DORA)

What will you bring to the table?

• Significant experience managing cross-department projects in global organisations
• Relevant prior experience with Information Systems/IT auditing
• Relevant prior experience with data governance practices, ideally at scale
• Strong understanding of the technology landscape. Even better if it includes data platforms, warehouses and BI & Analytics in general
• Experience working with ISO 27001, COBIT or similar frameworks
• Excellent management skills and a team-first mindset
• Very comfortable collaborating with a broad range of stakeholders in multiple disciplines, levels, and organisations, to manage & deliver change.
• Able to work under pressure and coordinate different efforts simultaneously
• Fluent English (written & spoken) with good communication and interpersonal skills
