Join Databricks as a Senior Meetings Manager

As a Senior Meetings Manager at Databricks, you will be a key player in our high-growth tech company, working within a collaborative culture to build and manage a scalable sales meeting program. You'll collaborate with the global events team, senior executives, and cross-functional partners to develop and execute meeting strategies across corporate and third-party events.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape and scale Databricks' Sales Meeting program, directly impacting our sales and executive engagement strategies. Responsibilities

Strategy and Playbook Development

  • Develop a comprehensive ongoing Sales Meeting strategy for Databricks across corporate and third-party events
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to define an annual Sales Meetings strategy for different event types
  • Create a comprehensive “Sales Meeting” playbook for global tracking and management

Program Management and Scaling

  • Oversee meetings workstreams for Databricks’ Data + AI Summit (DAIS), World Tour events in various global cities, and Tier 1 third-party events
  • Streamline, automate, and scale prep and request management processes and digital tools for consistency
  • Hire and manage agency/contractors to scale the program

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • As a member of the Sales Go-to-Market (SGTM) team, partner with Marketing and SGTM Programs and Enablement teams to determine logistics needs for events
  • Collaborate with the Executive Care team and Executive Assistants to establish executive and speaker participants and enablement for each event
  • Work closely with the Event leads, Field Marketing Managers (FMMs), and Industry Marketing leads on each event

Enablement and Communication

  • Provide enablement to the Sales Field, FMM, Events, and SGTM teams
  • Develop and maintain a calendar of events/programs in scope
  • Create and distribute “cheat sheets” and best practices for booking meetings at each event
  • Contribute to the Field-facing Events calendar with Meeting opportunities

Event Coverage and Support

  • Lead overall Meetings strategy for DAIS
  • Provide partnership and on-site support for Tier 1 third-party events and select World Tour cities
  • Offer advisory support for Tier 2 third-party events, other World Tour cities, and some select strategic events
  • Manage on-site support for large-scale events as defined

Reporting and Analysis

  • Track and report on progress towards FY/event OKRs
  • Ensure alignment and consistency of reporting across teams/regions
  • Provide continuous process improvement based on feedback and analysis
  • Deliver post-event recaps and analytics

Qualifications

What we look for:

  • 6+ years of meeting experience in a B2B enterprise software company
  • Highly skilled with Google Suite, MS Excel, Mac and other technology tools
  • Some experience with JiffleNow and/or Rainfocus tools for meeting management, along with Marketo, Salesforce, and Tableau, is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including efficient and effective meeting management skills
  • Strong customer service and project management abilities, for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Metrics-driven with strong analytical thinking
  • Familiarity with sales processes and executive engagement strategies
  • Self-starter and creative problem solver
  • Travel required for events
