How do you make our customers happy?

At our organization, “customers” means both the people buying products and the partners who sell on our platform. As our Senior Product Manager – Logistics Channel Foundation, your mission is to make life easier for both by combining both of their wishes. Together with your team, you determine through which logistics options every article can be fulfilled. Without you, there is no exchange of articles possible on our platform.

For end customers, you ensure that the most reliable, fast, and flexible options are available — think about finding mailbox so the customer does not have to stay at home or finding pick-up points possibilities to allow for extra flexibility. For our selling partners, you’ll develop solutions that allow multiple options to help them meet delivery promises and allow them to grow their businesses effortlessly.

When both customers and partners are happy, everyone wins.

The biggest challenge

The logistics network of bol has been expanding in the last years – more warehouses and delivery carriers – and we sell close to 200 million articles either via our own channel or via partners. Knowing our articles and creating all possible logistical options to fulfill our customers’ orders is at the core of what Logistics Channel Foundation (LCF) does. LCF powers many services that other logistics products directly rely on. Think of allocating our stock optimally, sourcing our orders to the right warehouses, and delivering them with the right carriers. Logistics Channel Foundation centralizes the core data of our logistics network, creates a digital ‘menu’ of our physical reality, and enables data-driven decision-making.

Logistics Channel Foundation provides a unique opportunity to deliver direct customer and business value. Through better understanding how our network is used, small changes can have a big impact through the entire logistics network. Just think about how impossible it would be to send fridges through the mailbox!

Being at the core of logistics also means ensuring we have a reliable and scalable set of services, upon which we continuously iterate, considering customers, stakeholders, and technical input.

What you’ll do as Sr Product Manager Logistics Channel Foundation

  • Design solutions for customers and partners: Create an experience that delights end customers and empowers sellers, balancing both needs on the same platform that will contribute to create business value.
  • Own and optimize delivery products: Manage the full lifecycle of the product and services, continuously iterating to stay ahead of the curve.
  • Data-driven decision-making: Use insights and design experiments aimed at validating your hypothesis.
  • Align stakeholders: Work closely with operations, tech teams, logistic strategy, and external partners to ensure seamless execution. Every piece of the logistics network brings different stakeholders!
  • Be the voice of partners and customers: Advocate for their needs across every decision, keeping their satisfaction and success at the center of your strategy.

This is where you’ll work

You will directly be reporting to the Head of Product for Core Logistics and will join the Core Logistics MT. This domain consists of 3 Group Product Managers, Engineering Managers, Principal Product Designer, and Lead Product Analytics. We’re looking for a new team member who is a true team player, unafraid to take on challenging projects, and eager to share in the fun!
