The Global Senior Buyer Specialty Ingredients is responsible for a direct raw material spend of around €80 million, leading the premix and vitamin categories, amongst others. As a part of the global ingredients procurement team, you will work across Danone’s different business divisions: Specialized Nutrition, Essential Dairy & Plant Based, and Waters. This is a challenging, highly dynamic and visible role that will see you leading key strategic projects to optimize the quality, service, costs, innovation and cash performance of your categories. Furthermore, the core responsibility is to execute & implement best-in-class sourcing strategies for your categories, supporting Danone’s growth, efficiency and sustainability ambitions.

This position is located at Danone’s offices in Hoofddorp, Amsterdam, reporting to the Global C&P Manager Specialty Ingredients.

Main responsibilities of the role include:

• Execute the global sourcing strategies, and lead the transformation projects;
• Gain and build expertise on your categories: market analysis, spend analysis, internal needs, TCO, cost models;
• Accountability for supplier relationship management: maintain and develop relationships with key/partner suppliers;
• Manage supplier performance with cross-functional process to improve KPIs;
• Identify and leverage of supplier capabilities in long-term development processes, bringing major competitive advantages;
• Accountability for the purchasing budget, manage risks and opportunities to the budget;
• Ensure security of supply: risk analysis, dual sourcing, contingency planning, quality, sustainability, service levels, with the lead of category activation team;
• Support cross-functional productivity and innovation projects (booster), with the lead of category activation teams;
• Managing supplier selection and contracting of suppliers as well as managing the coverage of supply with support of local RE coordinators;
• Manage Working Capital in the category through payment terms, inventories & lead times;
• Support innovation projects pipeline.

Sobre ti

• 7 years’ experience in procurement, operations, manufacturing and/or supply chain;
• Pragmatism, hands-on mentality, with strategic business approach (helicopter view);
• Tenacity, with strong adaptation and relationship capabilities to gain credibility and create an efficient network within CBUs and suppliers;
• Professional sourcing experience or / and education background that provides relevant knowledge within purchasing area – experience / education in health & nutrition ingredients area will be a plus;
• Someone who is oriented to deliver value in these categories, with a strong understanding of the FMCG / healthcare nutrition market across the different cultures;
• Ability to understand key procurement concepts in contract management, relationship and performance management.
