Site QA/QC Manager Leeuwarden

On the site in Leeuwarden we have 3 plants: Sweetened Condensed Milk, EVAP (Coffee cream) and a Can Factory. We are looking for a Quality Manager for the total site, who is responsible for QA and QC at site level and plant level, warranting that all products leaving the site are safe, legal and in line with expectations. The Quality Manager leads the site QA/QC team and ensures a trustful, transparent, collaborative way of working with all relevant functions. The Quality Manager is responsible for implementing and sustaining the FrieslandCampina Quality Management Process, Standards and Systems. The Quality Manager is a member of the site management team and Business Group QA team and works in a dynamic and complex environment both from a product and process base (incl. liquid IFT, SCM, ultra filtration, can making) as from a customer base (retail/consumers, industrial customers and IFT market). This requires a combination of content expertise and leadership skills in which stakeholder management and leading by influence are key for successful implementation of continuous quality improvements in the plants.

Wat we vragen

Enthusiastic colleague with extensive, at least 10+ years, experience in quality and quality assurance. You have a background in food technology. You get energy from working with people and you are able to function in multiple teams. You have a demonstrable academic level of work and thinking and have strong analytical and communication skills.

• Academic level, preferably with a background of affinity in food technology;
• 10+ years of experience in quality and quality assurance, preferably in food industry;
• Able to determine and steer business change management processes;
• Familiar with lean sigma improvement techniques;
• Fluent in Dutch and English;
• Good communication skills on all levels;
• Transformational leadership skills;
• Coaching skills;
• Willing to move to within 1 hour driving distance from Leeuwarden.

• Leading and developing the site QA/QC team and providing the right environment for the team to thrive and deliver to full potential;
• Develop team members to ensure talented associates are engaged, motivated and able to progress;
• Develop Quality strategy for the site Leeuwarden by closely cooperation with Q team and MT and implement as per plan;
• Provides input to the overall QA/QC strategy of FrieslandCampina and translates global strategy into strategy for Leeuwarden site;
• Build areas of relevant expertise (capabilities) in the team;
• Drives Quality Mindset and owns the QA processes, standards and systems, incl. internal and external audits;
• Responsible for QA performances of the site and correct measurement and reporting of Q metrics;
• Ensures site compliance to internal and external policies and regulatory requirements;
• Leads the implementation of the FrieslandCampina Quality Standards;
• Owner of Q incident process and Quality related incidents and decisions;
• Proactively leads on food safety, quality and requirements, and, in order to ensure the awareness on these topics in decision-making, improve the professionalization and minimize the related business risks;
• Member of the Site Management Team, representing the QA function and contributing to holistic site development topics and decisions (e.g. talent agenda, site strategy, engagement);
• Reporting to the Manufacturing Director Leeuwarden.
