We are seeking a skilled Team Lead Business Intelligence to oversee our BI team in extracting information from our data systems, interpreting data, and using it to drive business decisions.

As the Team Lead BI, you will lead a team of four professionals, including two Data Engineers and two Data Analysts, within a relatively young BI environment. You will play a pivotal role in driving the development, enhancement, and maturity of the BI ecosystem, which is currently built on the Microsoft BI Stack.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Leading, mentoring, and developing the BI team to foster professional growth and technical expertise.
• Defining and executing a roadmap for the BI environment to enhance its maturity and scalability.
• Guiding Data Analysts in creating intuitive dashboards, reports, and visualizations to provide actionable business insights.
• Acting as the primary point of contact between the BI team and other departments or stakeholders.

We also ask for:

• Proficiency in the Microsoft the Microsoft BI Stack, including Power BI, SQL Server, , and Azure Data Services.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling techniques.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Intelligence, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in BI roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices.
• Familiarity with other BI tools or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Snowflake) is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Delivery of BI projects within agreed timelines and quality standards.
• Advancement of the BI environment’s maturity level to meet organizational needs.

Your daily responsibilities include

• Provide guidance on task prioritization, problem-solving, and collaborative project delivery.
• Oversee the design, maintenance, and optimization of the BI architecture using the Microsoft BI Stack (e.g., Power BI, SQL Server, and Azure services).
• Work closely with Data Engineers to ensure robust ETL pipelines, data modeling, and integration processes.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and security best practices are in place.
• Establish and enforce BI development standards, methodologies, and best practices.
• Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, or processes to improve the BI environment.
• Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner to non-technical audiences.
• Regularly present progress updates, insights, and recommendations to leadership.
