Your opportunity:

team.blue is looking for a senior UX Designer to join our Product Service Unit UX/UI to deliver fitting and in-depth interactive user experiences from start to finish, for the E-Commerce segment of our product portfolio.

Together with our other senior UX Designers, UX & Interaction designers, developers, and creative-researchers you contribute your expertise to further evolving our company-wide UX design framework. To deliver the ultimate product experience for customers across our wide variety of eCommerce brands. In a scalable manner for each of their own unique user journeys.

You apply a user-centered design approach when working on projects and are able to navigate complex problems that internal stakeholders throw at you. Mainly because before you present a design or suggest a recommendation you always reason from the process, customer perspective, and the actual objective at hand.

What your day will look like?

A senior UX Designer seamlessly integrates the five elements of user experience: strategy, scope, structure, skeleton, and surface. The morning starts with strategic planning to align business goals with user needs supported by user-research and/or testing. Followed by team syncs and project reviews to clarify scope and define requirements. Collaborating with product and engineering teams, you address structural decisions that impact the architecture and functionality of designs.

Afternoons are dedicated to developing prototypes and wireframes (skeleton), refining the interface layout and user flow, while further leading user research to validate these designs. Mentorship and design critiques ensure the surface layer aligns with both brand standards and usability goals, creating a cohesive, engaging experience for users.

Position Summary:

The senior UX Designer will play a pivotal role in steering the design vision and user experience strategy across our E-Commerce product portfolio segment. As a key leader within the Product Service Unit UX/UI, you will be responsible for crafting user-centered design solutions and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that our E-Commerce products not only meet but exceed user expectations. You will combine your creative skills with analytical thinking to solve complex design problems that contribute to high user satisfaction and increased engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design Leadership

  • Define and communicate a design vision that aligns with the overall product and company goals.
  • Collaborate with development teams, Product Owners to foster an innovative environment.
  • Oversee and contribute to user research, creation of wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity designs across the product and brand design life-cycle.
  • Champion design thinking methodologies and advocate for best practices in UX research and design.

2. User-Centric Design & Research

  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and marketing stakeholders to identify user needs and business requirements.
  • Drive and participate in user research, including usability testing, user interviews, and data analysis.
  • Ensure insights from user research are integrated into the design process and that products are validated through testing and iterative feedback loops.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as a liaison between design, product, and engineering teams, ensuring seamless integration of UX into the product development process.
  • Lead UX/UI roadmap planning for specific product segment and prioritize design work based on business and user needs.
  • Facilitate design discussions with key stakeholders to drive alignment on design decisions and objectives.

4. Design Systems & Standards

  • Maintain and evolve the product Service Unit UX/UI design system, ensuring a consistent and scalable design language across all eCommerce related product user journeys.
  • Define, implement, and document design standards, guidelines, and best practices in the form of UX playbooks to ensure high-quality output for product and brand design related cases.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve design capabilities.

5. Performance Metrics & Continuous Improvement

  • Execute and guide your work based on our key UX/UI performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of design on user engagement and satisfaction.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize the design process to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Use data and user feedback to refine and improve existing design solutions and advocate for ongoing enhancements in the user experience.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

Experience:

  • 6+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership or senior role.
  • Proven experience leading and mentoring design teams and delivering large-scale, complex design projects.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent.
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, UX research methodologies, and information architecture.
  • Understanding of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) API architecture and fundamental systems is a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions to a range of audiences.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset and an eye for detail.
  • Collaborative team player who can work effectively with diverse, cross-functional teams.
