THE ROLE

Are you the bridge between Business and IT? Do you excel in optimizing engineering processes through innovative applications? If so, we want you! As Functional Application Specialist 3DX - Electrical, you will lead the development and design of engineering functionalities in our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platform, with a special focus on the 3Dexperience (3DX) platform and the Electrical stream. You will drive efficiency and effectiveness across our engineering processes, making a tangible impact on our projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As our Functional Application Specialist 3DX Electrical, you will:

• Translate engineering business needs into functional specifications for the application developments.
• Analyse issues collaboratively with stakeholders and devise solutions.
• Raise Service Requests (SR’s) and Enhancement Requests (ER’s) to the software supplier, as required.
• Develop and implement application processes and improved functionalities.
• Contribute to performing User Acceptance Tests for new and improved functionalities and platform upgrades.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and knowledge partners.
• Manage interfaces between applications on the platform and/or connected to the 3DX platform, including the 3DX portal.
• Organize and develop application-related training courses in coordination with the Manager Engineering Support to train users on how to use the (new/improved) 3DX platform functionalities in our business processes.
• Provide functional support to PLM/CAD users.
• Prepare and develop 3DX training materials, tips, application documentation, and user manuals.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

To excel in the role of Functional Application Specialist 3DX Electrical, you will need:

• Bachelor degree in engineering, preferably in shipbuilding or electrical engineering.
• Proficiency with Dassault 3Dexperience (3DX) platform.
• Knowledge of Electrical design principles and experience with functional application management.
• Excellent command of the English language, with proficiency in Dutch being advantageous.
• Ability to work in Vlissingen and Schiedam locations, in The Netherlands.
• Excellent references antecedents as a pre-employment security screening is standard part of the recruitment procedure.
• Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required and candidates with NL/EU (work) visa or with both an EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible in accordance with the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.
