What will you be doing?

As a Layout Engineer, you will become part of our Warehousing Solutions Project Engineering Department at our office in Veghel. The Project Engineering Department is responsible for the worldwide execution of projects in which the different components (mechanical, electrical and controls software) of our material handling systems are implemented. Working under the supervision of a Project Leader, the Layout Engineer is part of a multidisciplinary team of Engineers.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the system design
• Create and complete the 3D design from sketch to customer approval.
• Detail the design in order to release mechanical equipment specifications
• Managing revision of the 3D models
• Coordinate the BIM interfaces
• Collaborating with other engineers and professionals to develop and implement effective solutions
• Ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to the required standards
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues as they arise
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards

What do we ask from you?

Successful completed education at a vocational education (MTS/MBO-4) level with relevant working experience or a Bachelor (HTS/HBO) degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills, both verbally and in writing in English.
• Familiarity and knowledge of Mechanical design tools such as AutoCad, REVIT
• An entrepreneurial spirit, anticipating and mitigating project risks, and dealing with issues in a practical environment.
• A cooperative mindset, enthusiastic to work in multidisciplinary, international teams, and like to share your knowledge with your coworkers.
• Willing to travel around 10% internationally.

About the team

The Solution Engineering department is responsible to develop a winning commercial proposal, in close cooperation with the Sales Management department during the sales phase, and to successfully implement the as sold total solution with the Project Execution department. The department consists of a wide range of expertise to enable the design and sell a total solution towards customers and to execute these designs when awarded.

Key of the Solution Engineering department is one responsibility to sell and execute a total solution within one team, without critical interfaces to other departments
