Then an apprenticeship at BAE Systems in our Project Controls function might be the role you’ve been looking for!
We, as a business, are looking to develop the project controllers of the future for some of the most complex national and international projects in the world. With a new organisational focus on our project controls community, a recently implemented career pathway, and new roles within our Project Controls discipline, this is an exciting time to join the organisation.
The apprenticeship consists of work experience through five separate placements in varied areas of the business and a day release to a university centre to gain an honours degree in Project Controls.
Once you have successfully obtained your honours degree, you will continue in your role where you will build upon your new career at BAE Systems and have the opportunity to further your personal development. The Project Controls programme will develop, test, and mature skills such as:
You will be an essential part of a team where crucial project controls activities are carried out. Through substantiating the learning within your university in this niche subject and skills acquired in the workplace with the support of your colleagues, you will quickly become an expert in this unique field.
What qualification will you get?
Attending college one day each week at an external academic provider’s facilities, you will not only study the Degree Apprenticeship but also for an Honours Degree in Project Control.
You will study at Blackpool and the Fylde College, once a week during term time.

Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.
