Supervisor Process Technology

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive Supervisor Process Technology to join PVM Breda, one of the most automated factories within the PVM Group. This position sits at the crossroads of technology and product, focusing on production optimization, product quality, safety, and efficiency. You’ll lead New Product Development (NPD) and Value Engineering (VE) projects while driving continuous improvement initiatives and team development.

Key Responsibilities

Production Process Optimization:

• Analyze and assess production performance to identify improvement opportunities.
• Standardize work processes to ensure consistent production quality.
• Lead improvement projects centered on engineering, technology, and product innovation.

NPD and VE Project Management:

• Manage all stages of NPD and VE projects, from concept to production.
• Execute factory trials, analyze results, and ensure project success in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Factory Trials and Insight Gathering:

• Conduct factory trials, offering real-time insights to enhance product performance.
• Document and communicate challenges during trials to prevent downstream production issues.

Reporting and Communication:

• Present trial findings with actionable recommendations.
• Prepare structured reports detailing outcomes, challenges, and lessons learned.

Stakeholder and Timeline Management:

• Oversee project timelines, ensuring smooth phase progression.
• Act as the primary contact for operational stakeholders, fostering collaboration across departments.

Technical Troubleshooting:

• Perform root cause analysis for process deviations, implementing corrective actions with key departments.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, particularly for Mentos production.

Team Leadership:

• Supervise and coach two technologists, encouraging professional growth and fostering team responsibility.
• Promote collaboration across LRDQ and operational teams.

Collaboration with Group R&D:

• Liaise with Group R&D in Breda, ensuring effective project alignment and communication.
• Actively participate in group projects and cross-functional meetings.

The Ideal Recipe for Our Candidate

Experience:

• 3–5 years in a similar role within food, chemical, or biotechnology industries.
• Strong understanding of technical processes and their impact on product properties.

Education:

Master’s degree in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or Biotechnology.

Skills:

• Hands-on, application-oriented mindset with a curiosity for problem-solving.
• Highly analytical, proactive, and results-focused.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Fluent in Dutch and English (written and verbal)
