Consultant Energy Markets

As a (Senior) Energy Markets Consultant, you will be responsible for the larger consultancy projects we manage for clients in the field of energy markets. Currently, these projects are mainly in the Netherlands and occasionally in other markets in the EU, USA, or Australia. What makes this role so interesting is that, as a consultant, you will work with many different organisations and your contributions will put you at the heart of the energy transition.

You are part of the Energy Markets and PPA (Power Purchase Agreements) team. This department advises clients on power contracts, market developments, business cases, and optimization opportunities. Your challenge? Getting the best sustainable deal for the client. You do this together with colleagues such as developers, lawyers, and financial advisors.

The team has mediated many large wind and solar PPAs in the Netherlands. In recent years, this expertise has expanded further to include batteries, hydrogen, and energy procurement advice for large consumers.

As a (Senior) Consultant Energy Markets, you work on several consultancy projects simultaneously. You will also use your network to attract even more assignments. Additionally, we collaborate with universities, offering lectures on your field of expertise as an option.

• A salary up to €8,468, - gross per month based on 40 hours. Custom arrangements are negotiable depending on your specific knowledge and experience;

We also request:

• A completed university degree in the field of engineering, business administration, finance, or economics;
• Minimal 5 years of relevant work experience in the (sustainable) energy sector, with extensive knowledge of energy markets, including within energy projects;
• Demonstrable knowledge of the various energy markets;
• A network within the energy sector as well as in the industry/value chain;
• Good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
